Respected viewers, AA

If you know of any non-N2I books for children, kindly inform me.

Please see this email exchange between a precious Sister and me. She had asked me about the availability of good Islamic books for very young children.
----------------------------------------------------------

Dear Sister, Assalam alaikum!

You might be surprised to know that I have not been able to find non-N2I books for children.

Even the IDARA TOLUE-ISLAM, Lahore have none!!!

The very little children obviously need help learning.

THE IDEAL PROPHET, A SELECTION OF AHADITH, ISLAM FOR THE JUNIOR, ISLAM AS I UNDERSTAND can give parents some thoughts for teaching.

Today, I am consulting with friends if they know of any good Islamic books for children.

Let me c.c. this email to a bright Sister in UK. She might know better.

Thanks for your patience, and thanks to our respected Sister in UK for my
intrusion!

Wa alaikum Assalam Dr. Shabbir,

Actually, I'm not in the least surprised that you are not finding any N1I
books for children. There are so many "Islamic" websites and bookstores
selling religious education books, and from the descriptions they give I can
tell they are all based on ahadith. I love that N2 Muslims will say they
revere the Qur'an, but in practice they treat ahadith as the final authority
and behave as though ahadith can overrule the Qur'an!!! (Of course, none
would dare to admit this. But their words and deeds reveal their true
beliefs.)

Thanks so much for your efforts. Maybe this will be a project that forum
members can help with.

Wassalam,
.....

AA, dear Sister,

Ah, you are so right! I will post a message on the forum as well. If we fail to find what we are looking for, let's not worry.

The little speed-queen, Aisha, is definitely writing a book this year. I will tell her to focus on the subject we so desperately need. I will help her all the way.

May Allah reward you for so graciously broadening our intellectual horizon!

With respect and affection,
Your brother,
Shabbir

Tolu-e-Islam has published a book 'Islami Mu'ashrat' (in urdu) for kids in a very easy to understand language.

Salaam Aleikum dear uncle,

My fiancee wants to write a children's book for Our Beacon. She is a kindergarden teacher, and thus knows how and what to write for children. I will guide her with the N1I issues. But we need time for this.

Assalaam Alaikum,

When first I started visiting this forum. I had two wishes:

First History of Islam that already came out.
Second Prophets stories for little heart. These both wishes I had talked to Dr. Sahab. Thanks to all of you for your effort.

Jazak-Allah

Dear Shahu Bhai, AA

When Aisha writes her book in her summer vacation, we will keep that in mind.

Thanks and may Allah bless you!
