Peace be upon you Sir
my name is Maurice I recently received an email inviting me to watch
your lecture on TED from February, regarding five questions on the
universe.
You stated
1.up until the 1920 everyone thought the universe was static and
unchanging through time.
I refer you to a verse in a 1400 hundred year old book chapter 51 verse
47 (51:47) And it is We Who built the Universe with power, and
certainly, it is We Who are steadily expanding it.
You stated
2.if we extrapolate back 15 billion years there was a big bang the
beginning of the universe.
I refer you to a verse in a 1400 hundred year old book chapter 21 verse
30
(21:30) Are the disbelievers (in Divine laws) not aware that the heavens
and the earth used to be one solid mass and We exploded them
asunder? ...
3. You talk about maxwells eqations and time and space being different
relativity
22:47 And so they challenge you to hasten the doom, but god never fails
to fulfill his promise. A day of your lord is like a thousand years.
23:112 He (god)will ask, "what number of years have you spent on earth?
23:113 They will say " we stayed a day or part of a day. but ask those
who keep count.
70:4 the universal forces and the divine energy ascend unto him in a day
the measure of which is fifty thousand years

Thank you for your email to Professor Hawking.

As you can imagine, Prof. Hawking receives many such every day. He very much regrets that due to the severe limitations he works under, and the enormous number of requests he receives, he is unable to compose a reply to every message, and we do not have the resources to deal with many of the specific scientific enquiries and theories we receive.

Please see the website http://www.hawking.org.uk for more
information about Professor Hawking, his life and his work.

Yours faithfully

Sam Blackburn

Technical Assistant to
