Hazrat Ali had nothing to do with Sufism, I fail to understand how and why Sufis consider him to be their mentor. The Shias do not believe in Sufism. Their faith hinges on the concept of Imamat which they believe is divinely ordained. Although I do not subscribe to the concept of Wahdat ul Wajood, yet most of the Turkish Sufis mainly refer to the Creator as the Supreme Rabb of the universe. They do not sit in the Khanqahs, but earn their living. There are few instances when they delve into Unity of Being.
I have just finished seeing the two seasons of YUNUS EMRE - Journey of Love. There are 22 episodes in each of the 2 seasons. Its a must see for those who are interested in serious and thought-provoking dramas. It has English sub-titles and countless quotations are given from the Quran. There are some instances when the N2I steps in, but generally the language, thought and presentation is marvelous. Don't miss it. It is available on youtube.
