"The book is a beautiful language of God’s love and self-love. Filled with a compilation of stories from the Quran and the Prophet (PBUH), combined with poetry, mysticism, personal stories and much more.
It’s a wonderful and practical guide to a spiritual journey into the Heart of Islam. I would say it’s a beautiful read for anyone who’s longing to find that deeper connection with the Divine."
All humans from time zero when they were able to think have tried to find purpose in life and made a 'god' to fill the gaps in their minds; the longing, the love, feelings etc. To me, this is all very well on a personal level though when we get into mysticism, connecting with God, etc we become far removed from the reality He has provided for us and we actually move further away from God, not closer.
Feel good, do yoga, meditate, relax, but Allah in His Qur'an satisfies His way by telling us to grab reality by the horns and march forward, not inward contemplation.
Tooooooo..... much like sufi, mind erased, drug hallucinated, tantric meditation for my liking if I have understood from your post what is in the book.
As nice as you might think all this is, you can only find love, understanding, in the real world and do not expect Allah to put His arms around you!
How does God self-love?
God in our image, not, we in God's image, yes! Raise your SELF up, not suppress it.
