Wow, a quote from over 100 years ago sums up the problem exactly. Heck, I've heard from so many Muslims who believe in the "virgin birth" that I don't understand why they don't believe that Jesus was divine. After all, what normal human being could be conceived without a physical father? And that "night journey" when Moses is urging the Exalted Messenger to bargain with God! Not to mention that he visits a mosque in Jerusalem that hadn't even been built yet. I think the average Muslim believes in as many "miracles" as a Roman Catholic. (RC doctrine is replete with miracles, both scriptural and from tradition.) Belief in miracles is a huge distraction from the Deen. No wonder so many Muslim societies can never make any progress...
