M.A.J. 1876-1948.
“Few individuals significantly alter the course of history. Fewer still modify the map of the world. Hardly anyone can be credited with creating a nation-state. Mohammad Ali Jinnah did all three.”
[Prof Stanley Wolpert, University of California, in his "JINNAH OF PAKISTAN"]

"Not a single political leader can be brought before him in comparison. Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was the greatest leader of people in the last one thousand years."
[Ardeshir Cowasjee (1926-2012) a top-class Parsi philosopher, writer and historian from Karachi.]
Dear friends,
I am intending to write an accurate personal and political biography of Quaid-e-Azam - Will try to keep it brief, yet, comprehensive enough for proper understanding and knowledge.
The unique Quaid-e-Azam MAJ has no match among world leaders as a man of character, charisma, intelligence and courage in the last millennium. My own reverence of him as the Father of Pakistan aside, I will not exaggerate, yet you will see how correct Stanley Wolpert is in his book. MAJ incredibly did that no one had ever done in the last 1,000 years.

Please read Prof Wolpert's and Cowasjee's statements again. I find no exaggeration in these statements.

“Few individuals significantly alter the course of history. Fewer still modify the map of the world. Hardly anyone can be credited with creating a nation-state. Mohammad Ali Jinnah did all three.” [Prof Stanley Wolpert, University of California, in his "JINNAH OF PAKISTAN"]

"Not a single political leader can be brought before him in comparison. Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was the greatest leader of people in the last one thousand years." [Ardeshir Cowasjee (1926-2012) a top-class Parsi philosopher, writer and historian from Karachi.]
Most men of intellect will agree with these statements as they read the booklet that follows.

3- The Star, M.A.Jinnah.
Date: Sunday, 4 March 2018
Father of The Nation: M.A.J. Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah (some glimpses)

1903: Appointed legal advisor to the Bombay Municipal Corporation.

1906: At the age of 30, M.A. Jinnah becomes secretary to the "Grand Old Man of India", Dada Bhai Naurojee of the All India Congress.

1906: All-India Muslim League: Seeing that while the Indian National Congress had been a Hindu organization in India established by Mr. Hume of London in 1886, some bright minds thought that Muslims must preserve their political and social identity under an organization as well. Sir Sultan Muhammed Shah, Aga Khan III (November 1877–1957) the 48th Imam of the Nizari Ismaili community was one of the founders and the first president of the All-India Muslim League (AIML). His goal was the advancement of Muslim agendas and the protection of Muslim rights in India. He shared Sir Syed Ahmad Khan's (1817-1898) belief that Muslims should first build up their social capital through advanced education before engaging in politics. Aga Khan called on the British Raj to consider Muslims to be a separate nation within India, the so-called 'Two Nation Theory'. He was nominated to represent India to the League of Nations in 1932 and served as President of the League of Nations from 1937–38.

All-India Muslim League, prominent members:
Aga Khan III, Nawab Viqar ul Malik, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, A. K. Fazlul Huq, Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy, Sir Feroz Khan Noon, Khwaja Nazimuddin, Liaquat Ali Khan, Ch.Khaliq-uz-Zaman, Mohammad Ali Bogra.

30 Dec 1906: The Founding meeting was hosted by Nawab Sir Khwaja Salimullah and attended by three thousand delegates, while Ameer Ali, Sir Mian Muhammad Shafi were also the founding fathers who attended this meeting. The name "All-India Muslim League" was proposed by Sir Mian Muhammad Shafi.

4- Rise to Political Heights:

1909: Jinnah is elected to represent in the Legislative Council of the Viceroy.

1913: Elected again for the Council 1913, he travels to London with the famous Indian leader Gopal Krishna Gokhle.

1913: Officially joins the Muslim League upon returning to India.

1915: Since 1913, Jinnah held the unique position of being a member of the All India Muslim League and The Legislative Council of the British government. He is considered the most respectable citizen of India at the age of 39.

1918: Jinnah married the beautiful "Flower of Bombay," Rattan Bai Dinshaw. The common interest between the 41 years old groom and 18 years old bride was their fondness of horse riding. The Parsi Rattan Bai embraced Islam before marriage. She was thenceforth called as Maryam Jinnah.

1919: The only child of M.A. Jinnah is born on Aug 15, Dina Jinnah.

1920: Mohandas K. Gandhi renames the working committee of the Congress, from Home Rule League to the Hindi "Suraaj Sabha." At this juncture, Jinnah resigns from the Home Rule League considering it a biased policy that excluded Muslims.

1920's: Gandhi promotes Hindu fundamentalism and gains cheap popularity with his antics and ‘half-nakedness’. He declares, "If Muslims or Christians slaughter one cow, we will shed rivers of blood in India!"

1921: The extremist Hindu movements of ‘Shanghatan’ (practicing martial arts) and ‘Shudhi’ (forceful conversion of all faiths to Hinduism) threaten to wipe out Muslims and Christians from the soil of India.

1929: Mrs. Ratti Maryam Jinnah's untimely demise due to Typhoid fever in Bombay. She was only 29. Jinnah flies from Delhi to Bombay.

1930: M. A. Jinnah used to say, “I am a nationalist first, nationalist second, and nationalist last”, meaning that he wanted to work with the Congress to liberate India from British imperialism. Even the Congress leaders called him “The ambassador of Hindu Muslim Unity”. Already saddened by his young wife's death, Jinnah gets disheartened by the politics of hatred and religious division propagated by Gandhi, Indian National Congress and the militant RSS. Jinnah quits politics and moves to London to pursue his practice of law which had always flourished. Pointing to their leadership, Jinnah says, “Hindus are incorrigible.” Mentioning their leadership, he said, “Gandhi keeps changing his color like a chameleon. He cannot be trusted with his words and actions. He seldom says what he means and he seldom means what he says. When he runs out of logic, he calls on to his ‘inner voice’. When nothing works to fulfill his wishes, he goes on a ‘Maran Bart’ (Hunger-strike.) How can we deal with such an enigmatic character?

Sir Winston Churchill retorted in agreement, “This ‘half-naked faqir’ will never allow his ‘bart’ to carry him on to death.”

1931: Round Table Conference in London. *Chaudhry Rahmat Ali (1893-1951) a lawyer, stresses on Jinnah that Muslims in India will not accept crucifixion at the hands of Hindu extremists. Hindus were by far the great majority (300 million vs 100 impoverished million Muslims). Allama Sir Muhammad Iqbal present at the conference convinces M. A. Jinnah that Indian Muslims must have their independent homeland.
[*Chaudhry Rahmat Ali Khan, a Muslim nationalist in England, was one of the earliest proponents of the creation of a free state for Muslims and he named the state Pakistan.]

1933: Allama Iqbal in Lahore writes to M.A. Jinnah in London, "I can see a furious storm raging our way. Muslims of India have the right to look up to you to carry their wavering ship to the harbor of safety. No one else in India can accomplish the humongous task ahead.” Liaquat Ali Khan tells Iqbal, “Jinnah is the only competent, trustworthy, courageous and unpurchaseable leader who can rescue the 100 million Muslims of India.” Liaquat goes to London and tells M.A. Jinnah, "Indian Muslims desperately need your help and guidance for their very survival. The extremist Hindu movements of ‘Shanghatan’ (practicing martial arts) and ‘Shudhi’ (converting all faiths to Hinduism) are threatening to wipe out Muslims and Christians from the soil of India.” Iqbal follows through to Jinnah, “Don’t you think that time has come for you to lead the vulnerable masses into their own free homeland?” If we stay still, the Muslims will be destroyed and even Islam would cease to exist in India.

Allama Iqbal repeats,"The only safeguard for Muslims is to achieve a free homeland for them. Don't you think the time has come for this demand? A great storm is coming and Muslims deserve to look up to you to captain their ship."

1934: M.A. Jinnah quits his blooming practice in London and returns to his beautiful mansion on Mount Pleasant Road, Bombay.

1936: Jinnah establishes the All India Muslim Students Federation.

1937: M.A. Jinnah has breathed a new life into the Muslim League.

1937: Jinnah declares "Even if we have to go through fire and blood we must march on to freedom, otherwise, we will forever remain poor, weak, illiterate, and slaves of Hindus.

Oct. 8, 1938 Karachi: He says, “The British have unleashed wolves on the Arabs in Palestine.”

1938: Bombay, 3 A.M., August 14. A Hindu journalist asks Jinnah why he was staying awake so late. Jinnah responds, "I am awake because my nation is sleeping."

1938: Jinnah visits Allahabad. He ruled the hearts and minds of students. They crowded the Allahabad railway station in multitudes. The railway traffic had to be stopped for 2 hours.

March 23, 1940: Meeting of All India Muslim League at Lahore. The Lahore Resolution (called by newspapers as “The Pakistan Resolution”) was passed.

1940: Khwaja Hasan Nizami, a noted scholar in Delhi calls M.A. Jinnah as "Quaid-e-Azam" (The Great Leader). Soon, everyone in India was calling him by this honorable title.

1940: Quaid-e-Azam introduces his English newspaper "DAWN" to fight anti-Muslim propaganda.

July 26, 1943: A 30-year-old tall and stout man, Rafiq Sabir of Allama Mashriqi’s ‘Khaksar’ movement, who foolishly desired to make a Pakistan all over India, tried to assassinate Quaid-e-Azam with a dagger. The 67 years old slender Jinnah calmly grabbed his wrist. His staff immediately arrested the attacker. M. A. Jinnah proceeds with his work as if nothing had happened and pardons him without a blink.

1943: A British author Beverly Nicholson interviews Jinnah in Bombay. Then he writes "Dialogue with a Giant: M.A. Jinnah is the most prominent personality in Asia."

1945: The Working Committee of the Muslim League requests Quaid-e-Azam to accept becoming the life President of the League. Quaid-e-Azam declines insisting on yearly elections.

Jan 1946: Muslim League registers a resounding victory in general elections.

June 3, 1947: Quaid-e-Azam gives the great news of freedom to Indian Muslims. From All India Radio Delhi, he raises the slogan, "Pakistan Zindabad!" [Long Live Pakistan!]

Aug 7, 1947: Jinnah flies from Delhi to Karachi.

Aug 14, 1947: The Hindu fundamentalist party RSS tries to assassinate Quaid-e-Azam as he is driven to the Government House at Karachi. For some reason, the bomb thrown on his car fails to explode. Quaid-e-Azam declines a personal bodyguard.

Apr 15, 1948: His health continues to decline. On medical advice, Jinnah temporarily moves to a scenic place, Ziyarat near Quetta but he refuses to stop working.

Jul 1, 1948: Flies to Karachi for the opening ceremony of the State Bank of Pakistan. He asserts, "The western economic system will not grant us prosperity. We will have to devise our destiny on the principle of human equality and social justice." This was the last official engagement of M.A. Jinnah.

Aug 29, 1948: "I have completed my mission." (Ziyarat).

Sep 11, 1948: Flies back to Karachi.

Sep 11, 1948, 10:20 PM: The great leader breathes his last at the Government House in Karachi. Two specialist doctors, two nurses, close family members and three associates present.

Quaid-e-Azam MAJ had an astonishing degree of insight into the Qur'an. He presented the clearest possible vision of a true Islamic State in 1941:

In August 1941, Quaid-e-Azam gave an interview to the students of the Osmania University, Hyderabad Deccan. The replies he gave to the students explain his superb comprehension of the foundations of Islam. Here are some excerpts from the interview:

Q. What are the essential features of an Islamic religious state?
A. When I hear the word “religion,” my mind at once thinks of the English usage of the term, that of a private relationship between man and God. But I know full well that according to Islam, the word religion is not restricted to that connotation. Islam is a System of Life*. I am neither a Maulwi nor a Mullah, nor do I claim to be an expert in theology. But I have closely studied the Qur’an and Islamic jurisprudence. This magnificent Qur'an is full of guidance encompassing all aspects of human life, whether spiritual or physical, economic or emotional, political or social; leaving no aspect untouched.

Q. What is the distinctive feature of the Islamic state?
A. A special feature of the Islamic State must not be overlooked. Here, the Source of all obedience is **God alone and the only way to obey God is to obey the Quranic laws and principles. In Islam, obedience is due neither to a king, nor to a parliament, nor to any other person or organization. There is no room for priesthood in Islam. Therefore, Pakistan will not be a ***theocracy in which the government is handed over to clergy so that they, according to their own whims, may fulfill the Divine Mission. It is the Quranic provisions that determine the limits of our freedom and restrictions in political and social domains. In other words, the Islamic State is an agency for establishing the Quranic principles and injunctions. And, to establish the Qur’an, you need a state. That is why I am striving for a free state for Muslims.
[Muhammad Ali Jinnah's interview to the Students Union of Osmania University in Hyderabad, Deccan, 19 August 1941, as reported by Orient Press. Reproduced in Urdu Roznama (Daily) Inqalab, January 1942]

“In 1946, the Parsi doctor JAL Patel of Bombay took a chest x-ray of Quaid-e-Azam. The film showed widespread tuberculosis of the lungs. The great Quaid asked the doctor about his life expectancy. Dr. Patel informed him that he would probably live two years unless he quit politics and took proper rest, in which case he might live one or two years more. Quaid-e-Azam responded, “This means I have to work even harder. Please hold my reports fully confidential. Only you and I know about this X-ray.” Jinnah did not share the findings even with his beloved sister, comrade and confidant, Fatima Jinnah. She could, however, notice his dwindling health and advised him to take a vacation. He said to Fatima, “Have you ever seen a general going on vacation while his soldiers are in the middle of a hot battle?” He worked tirelessly until he achieved his incredible goal of making Pakistan a reality. Then he passed on in peace on Sep 11, 1948.
["My Brother", Urdu, by Ms. Fatima Jinnah]

2001 - I say with complete confidence about this great man, “Never in history have so many people owed so much to a single person.”
[Syed Hashim Raza, a close companion of Quaid-e-Azam wrote in the preface to Dr. Shabbir Ahmed’s “Hamaray Quaid-e-Azam” and “Father of the Nation” 2001]

*Notice that MAJ was one of the first men who realized from Allama Iqbal that Islam is DEEN or System of Life, and not a 'Mazhab' or religion.
**"Obedience to God": MAJ does not leave the phrase abstract and immediately qualifies it with the obedience of the Quranic laws.
***Note the simplest definition of theocracy.

“Even if someone only acknowledged Jinnah as an excellent barrister, it would be to acknowledge that he had won the most monumental judgment in the history of the Bar. He had realized in the romantic ideal of Pakistan a case that could be fought and won.” [Edgar Snow, the well-known American author]

“A most accomplished lawyer, outstanding amongst any lawyers anywhere and he was an exceptional constitutionalist”. [Sir Stafford Cripps]
Mohammad Ali Jinnah was an outstanding leader and a political giant. In the Indo-Pak subcontinent, no constitutional scheme could work unless he agreed. Jinnah, Gandhi, and Dr. B R Ambedkar participated in the Second Round Table Conference (1931). Jinnah and Ambedkar worked together. Jinnah pleaded separate electorates for Muslims and other minorities including the Harijans (Dalits). Dr. Ambedkar and Jinnah supported each other. Gandhi vehemently opposed the grant of separate electorates to the depressed low caste people but failed. [“Jinnah, the Great Leader”, Urdu, by G.A. Allana]

The British announced the Communal Award on August 17, 1932, giving separate electorates, among others, to the Muslims and depressed classes. On August 18, Gandhi, who was already in jail, wrote to the British prime minister, that unless separate electorates for the depressed classes were rescinded, he would commence a fast unto death at noon on September 20, 1932. Gandhi went on the fast as threatened. When Gandhi’s condition deteriorated, Hindu leaders arranged a meeting between Ambedkar and Gandhi. Eventually, an agreement was signed on September 24, 1932, and it went down in history as the Poona Pact. Gandhi broke his fast but soon broke the Pact as well.
In 1941, Dr. Ambedkar’s magnum opus, “Thoughts on Pakistan” was published. The book supported the demand for Pakistan. Dr. Ambedkar paid glowing tributes to Jinnah, his leadership and integrity.

In 1945, Ambedkar approached Jinnah. Dr. Ambedkar was establishing Siddharth College and needed Rs 1.2 million. He had collected Rs 900,000 and requested Mr. Jinnah to speak to the billionaire Seth Dalmiya to donate Rs 3 million to the college. Jinnah found a brilliant legal solution and the college was established.

Dr. Ambedkar worked for inter-dining and inter-marriage between the Harijans and other Hindu classes. M.A. Jinnah encouraged and supported Dr. Ambedkar and his party. As Dr. Ambedkar’s first wife died, on April 15, 1948, Dr. Ambedkar married Ms. Sharda Kabir, a Brahmin. The New York Times described the marriage as more significant than the wedding of a royalty to a commoner.

The British Cabinet Mission arrived in India and met the political leaders. On May 16, 1946, the Cabinet Mission announced their proposals, according to which the Mission contemplated a loose union, with three groups of provinces, the formation of a Constituent Assembly and an interim central government. Congress rushed and formed the government. The Muslim League joined the interim government on October 26, 1946, and included the Hindu Jogindranath Mandal as the law minister.

The elections to the Constituent Assembly were held and Dr. Ambedkar fielded candidates under the banner of the Scheduled Caste Federation. Dr. Ambedkar and his colleagues were defeated so there was no way for him to get into the Constituent Assembly from Bombay Presidency. However, Jinnah came to his rescue. Jogindranath Mandal was elected to the Constituent Assembly from Bengal. Jinnah asked Mandal to resign to make room for Dr. Ambedkar. Accordingly, Dr. Ambedkar was elected from East Bengal (The Makers of Indian Constitution by Sheshrao Chawan).

On Jinnah’s persuasion, the Due Process clause that was very unfavorable to the lower caste, was deleted from Article 21 of the Indian Constitution, which now reads: “No person shall be deprived of his right and personal liberty except according to procedure established by law.”

Jinnah in his speech spoke inter alia about:
a) Evils of Corruption;
b) Genuine Democracy;
c) Negative effects of hero worship.
“Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah was a combination of rare qualities. He had the charisma of Churchill, the dignity of De Gaulle, the popularity of Gandhi and the magnetism of Mandela. No leader in the world (barring Prophet Muhammad) accomplished as much as Jinnah did. [Syed Sharifuddin Pirzada, Ex-Attorney general of Pakistan]

1930: A DECISIVE ADDRESS: Allama Sir Muhammad Iqbal (1877-1938), as president of All India Muslim League, addressed the League convention at Ilahabad, UP, in 1930.

The great Iqbal said, “Islam is not a religion, it is DEEN (System of Life) that can be realized only in an independent land of our own. I propose that geographical contiguous units with a majority of the Muslim population in the northwest region of India [Punjab, Sindh, NW Frontier Province (now Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) and Baluchistan] must be united as an independent homeland for Muslims. I see it as DESTINY for the Muslims of India. That will preserve our religious and cultural identity and enable us to erase the blots and blemishes stamped on Islam through centuries of Arab Imperialism. This will also bring Islam in congruence with modern times. Rule of the Qur’an will bring back the glory of the pristine Islam that our exalted Prophet and his companions had established in the 7th century. No other political or constitutional plan would be workable and no maneuvering will be acceptable to Muslims.”

A very large band of Deoband Ulema, Ahrar, Barelvi Jamaat, and most of all Jamaat Islami, strongly opposed the creation of an Islamic state in India. They said that Muslims had all the freedom for carrying on their daily rituals and rites even under British rule and the status would stay as it is when the British leave and Hindus starting ruling India.

Allama replied they did not know the difference between Mazhab (private relationship with Allah) and DEEN (Divinely Prescribed System of Life).

[Since the Mullah is permitted to do prostrations, the feeble-minded thinks that Islam is free.]
M.A. Jinnah in London strongly agreed with Iqbal and said that he derived a tremendous inspiration from him.

Seeing the rising popularity of Jinnah, Gandhi decided to play his antics. One day in 1921, he suddenly threw away his Western dress and wrapped himself in a white cloth ("the half-naked faqir of Churchill"). Hindus started calling him Mahatma, the great soul. Conversely, Jinnah despised any pretensions. One morning in 1944, there were headlines in newspapers that while Gandhi was busy praying to his Murtis of Krishna and Hanuman, a large black snake entered the cottage. Gandhiji was least perturbed and the snake quietly made around its way to exit. Some journalists visited M.A. Jinnah the next morning asking if he had read the headlines. He said, "Yes, I have". They asked him, "Do you believe the snake story, Sir?" Jinnah said, "Yes, I believe it". Now they exclaimed, "How is that possible?" Jinnah calmly replied, "Professional etiquette". The next day, the embarrassed Hindu media wrote editorials about the funny incident and drew cartoons of Gandhi.
Jinnah had always hated pretending. He was well known for his meticulous dress with well-designed suits, neckties, and two-tone shoes. He also used to wear a large British hat. The Indians despised the typically British hat. One day, while he was traveling in a man driven rickshaw with his hat resting on his knees, one of his Muslim aides gently approached him and said, "Quaid-e-Azam! There are thousands of Muslims ahead wanting to greet you and give you a warm welcome. Could you please keep the hat down to make it invisible?" He replied, "Do you want me to be a Gandhi? I will meet with my people as I am. If they find truth in me, they will honor me. Remember, it is your character that draws respect". With that, he put the hat on his head. Those present in Shimla that day never forgot the resounding applause people gave to their leader.

NOTE: 3/12/18 (Sunday) Dear friends,
1. My new book "M.A.Jinnah, the greatest leader in centuries" is expected to take more time than I had estimated. I type with one finger, and I am consulting 31 reliable sources. So, a lot of research work.
2. Please see the installments on the forum as random writings.
3. Editing will be done at the end.
4. The end product will be a fluent, nicely composed and beautifully bound book.

1937: "Contrary to the Hindu leaders like Gandhi and Nehru, Jinnah always says what he means and means what he says. Even his opponents could not find fault in his character. He cannot be purchased at any price. Hypocrisy is as far away from him as the farthest object in the universe." [Ramsay MacDonald, British P.M.]

1945: MAJ Quaid-e-Azam was the most truthful, honest, bold and uncompromising leader in undivided India. Despite being a statesman-politician, he never used 'diplomatic' language that could be construed either way. [Diwan Chaman Lal, a prominent Hindu politician]

British imperialism had been ruling the Indian subcontinent for nearly 250 years. In 1940, Hindus formed the vast majority of the population with 35 million, Muslims were 10 million, and other religions: Christians, Sikhs and Buddhists, Jains and Parsis made about 3 million.
During the Second World War, it was becoming evident all that the weakened "Great" Britain would have to relinquish its colonies. Hindu leaders were determined to form exclusively their own government in India leaving Muslims as a weak, ruled minority as soon as the British left. The last viceroy Lord Mountbatten had covertly assured the Hindu leaders of his support. Jinnah had the rare ability to look around corners so he could read it even before the Hindu-British conspiracy leaked out. This was the only time MA Jinnah used such forceful language, "If you go ahead with your nefarious designs, we will create an earthquake in the land."

This was the only time MAJ used such forceful language, "If they go ahead with this conspiracy, we will create an earthquake in the land."

Jinnah knew that Muslims in India would remain an eternally nonconvertible, oppressed minority in the so-called secular democracy of India.

Indian Muslims under the leadership of Allama Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam desired to create their independent homeland where they could implement and follow the Quranic laws that emphasize human equality and social justice for all. Muslims were grossly discriminated in India. Hindus treated them as untouchables, e.g. not sharing eating or drinking utensils. A bright, highly-educated Muslim would rarely enter a good school or college and seldom get a prestigious job. Railway stations had different water sources: "Hindu Water" and "Muslim Water"! Similar was the situation with toilets at most places.

Most Hindu leaders were threatening Muslims to quit Islam and become Hindus. This movement called SHUDHI was started by 'Ariya Samaj Hindus' in 1921. Today under the Modi government, SHUDHI goes on in the name of 'Ghar Wapsi' (returning back home) since most Muslims and their ancestors in the subcontinent have converted from Hinduism; although the Indian constitution guarantees freedom of religion.
"Hindu leaders and masses have been propagating since 1921 that Muslims could live in India only as Hindus. There is no room for non-Hindus in our country." [Speaker of the National Assembly, Mr. Tundon, 1948]

Gandhi had been proclaiming that he could lay his life for his religion, “India will be a Hindu nation and Pakistan can be created only on my dead body.”

I am optimistic that India will never be divided. Muslims will have to adopt Hindu culture and their Nagri language and script. [Diwan Chaman Lal]

Jinnah was all honesty, truth and will-power. He was an unbeatable adversary. I had accepted the assignment of viceroy in order to keep India united but there was a mountain of will and logic in my way. I had to surrender to him eventually. [Lord Mountbatten, interview to BBC in 1975]

M.A. Jinnah is determination personified. No one could bend him or his stance. [Dr. Ambedkar]

If India gets independence from the British, only Jinnah can do it. [Gopal Krishna Gokhle]

As a political vanguard, no one in India is a match to Jinnah. He is a fearless and indomitable leader of the masses. [Raj Gopal Acharia]
Jinnah was unconquerable. He used to say that the word failure was unknown to him and how true he was! [Jagat Lal Narain]
Mr. Jinnah is the most prominent personality in Asia. He is the most intelligent, far-sighted and logical politician and legislator. [Beverly Nichols, “Dialogue with a Giant”]

Jinnah was a rare combination of intelligence, wisdom, valor and character. [Monty Chelmsford]

Greed or fear did not exist in Jinnah’s dictionary. [Frederick James]

Jinnah fought every battle that came his way, he never wavered and took his people to their glorious destiny. [Sir Stafford Cripps]

Quaid-e-Azam is a master legislator, politician and the most charismatic leader of Muslims. I do not remember winning a single argument against him. [Mahatma Gandhi]

23 March 1940: The Lahore Resolution was passed in the general session of the Muslim League by Choudhury Khaliquzzaman who announced M.A. Jinnah’s views on what led to the demand for partition.

It was a landmark document of Pakistan’s history. It formed the basis for the decision of the Muslim League to struggle for one state [later named Pakistan] for the Muslims.

The statement declared:
The Hindu press and leaders were quick to describe the resolution as the demand for the creation of Pakistan; some people began to call it the Pakistan Resolution soon after the Lahore session of the Muslim League. It is a landmark document in the history of Pakistan. Additionally, it stated:

Two geographically contiguous units are demarcated into regions: Such territorial readjustments in which the Muslims are numerically in a majority as in the North-Western and Eastern Zones of (British) India. The Muslim majority areas should constitute the independent state of Pakistan, autonomous and sovereign.

In this session the political situation was analyzed in detail and why Muslims demanded a separate homeland to maintain their identity and to safeguard their rights. Pakistan Resolution was the landmark in the history of Muslims of South-Asia. It determined for the Muslims a true goal and their homeland in north-east and north-west. The acceptance of the Pakistan resolution accelerated the pace of freedom movement. It gave new energy and courage to the Muslims who gathered around Muhammad Ali Jinnah for the struggle for freedom.

In 1670, the Marhatta chief Sivaji said, "My sword will sweep Muslims away in the rivers of blood, and not a single Muslim will live. (Ref. Pandit Nand Kumar Sharma)

In 1685 his son Sanbhaji commanded. "Mop up and kill the unclean Muslims. (History of Maharashtra by Bhai Parmanand)

In the year 1700, the disciples of Ram Rajya dug up the grave of the Great Mughal Akbar, cut his remains in pieces and then threw them in the fire. Why did the Hindus do that? For, Emperor Akbar was their benefactor. He had invented his Deen-e-Ilahi only for uniting all religions in India. He had declared killing a cow punishable with death, declared growing a beard a criminal offense. He had elevated Hindu women to the status of empresses. He had appointed Hindus to high offices of the state. What, then, was Akbar's fault in the eyes of those Hindus? The fault that Muhammad was a part of his name, Jalaluddin Muhammad Akbar!

In 1707, Hindus celebrated Aurangzeb's death with illuminations and the festival of colors. They vowed to drive Muslims in the Indian Ocean.

From 1707 to 1798 they continued getting Muslims killed en masse at the hands of Sikhs. Then for forty-one long years during the Sikh rule of Ranjit Singh (d.1831), countless copies of the holy Quran were set on fire. Mosques were converted to Sikh temples called Gurdwaras.

Countless women were dishonored. This continued until Ranjit Singh's death in 1839.
In 1740, Sahoo, the son of Sanbhaji and his Guru Balaji Bajirao spoke, "Chop! Chop! Cut the tree from its trunk and the branches will fall of themselves."

In 1757 Amir Chand, Manak Chand, Raj Ballabh and Rai Dilrabh strove day and night with the traitor Mir Jaafar to kill Nawab Sirajuddaula, the beacon of Muslim hopes. The British commander of the ensuing battle of Plassey, Lord Robert Clive could not stand the revolt of his conscience even on his return to England and he committed suicide at the age of 49.
Attack the sources of Muslim might. But the illustrious son of Zarghuna Bibi, Ahmad Shah Abdali chopped off the trunk of Ram Rajya zealots in 1761 at Panipat. Zarghuna had bid farewell to her son commanding him that he would either be the victor or a martyr on the battlefield.
When the brave Tipu Sultan was struggling (1782-1799) to liberate the land from Britain, Hindus remained at war against him and instigated the traitor Mir Sadiq put out another light of Muslim hopes.

1831: Sikhs had unstinted support of Hindus until 1831 when Maulvi Syed Ismail and Syed Ahmad Barelvi were killed in battle at Balakot.

1857: Holkar, Syndhia and Gaekwad openly aligned themselves with the British in the freedom fight of 1857.

In 1873, Swami Dayanand Saraswati launched his Shudhi movement. The objective was to convert all Muslims of the Indian subcontinent to Hinduism. Those not willing to be converted would be driven out from India. Hindustan is for Hindus. (Bal Gangadhar Tilak). Shudhi was further strengthened in 1922.

1923: Muslims are Maleeche (contaminated). Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya and Swami Shardhanand plotted with the British Viceroy started a quasi-military movement called Sanghathan (consolidation) again with the objective of converting all sons of “Mother India” to Hinduism. The existence of non-Hindus in Indian body polity is a gross incongruity.

1925: No land can be at peace with Muslims. Muslims of not only India but in addition that of Afghanistan have also to be converted to Hinduism and the region transformed into a Hindu empire. (Lala Hardayal, chief of the Sanghatan movement)

1927: Valiant sons of Arjun! Finishing off all Muslims from Karachi to Makkah is not enough in order to save a cow. (Mahashay Pratap)
And in that day and age Swami Satya Dev declared that if Muslims wanted to exist in the sub-continent, they had to:

1. Turn their backs on the Quran
2. Reject Muhammad the Prophet
3. Sever all ties with Makkah
4. Study Kabeer and Tulsi Das
5. Celebrate Hindu festivals
6. Let mosques be converted to Hindu temples and fly a flag of Vedic Dharma or Arya Samaj.
One who sheds Muslim blood and dishonors Muslim women is a sure entrant of heaven. Muslims should not state publicly Allahu Akbar and should not declare themselves Allah's servants. They should sing ‘Vanday Matram’ (we are the slaves of the soil). They should exist as devotees of Mother India alone.

Let the entire land be on fire; we shall not cede an inch to Pakistan. (M.K. Gandhi)
Snatch knives from the hands of Pathans. Arm the Hindu woman with a gun or pistol. (Gandhi)
Uproot Urdu, because its alphabet is similar to the Quran's (M.K. Gandhi)

It is remarkable that in 1938 the Wardha Scheme of education was drawn under the auspices of Dr. Zakir Hussain and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. It laid down that all faiths are of equal status so children should not be instructed in Islam being the true faith. For tough resistance from some determined Muslims, this scheme could not advance.

Due to a conspiracy hatched between Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Patel, and Lord Louis Mountbatten, the work of demarcation of the boundary between India and Pakistan over an area of 175,000 square miles was entrusted to a dishonest British barrister, Radcliffe. The boundary was to be demarcated based on the majority population of a district. However, this principle was violated in Gurdaspur in order to facilitate Indian access to Kashmir and this district was allocated to India.

A fearsome conspiracy of Hindu militancy almost succeeded on August 14, 1947. A bomb placed to blow up the motorcade of Quaid-e-Azam did not explode. (“Freedom at Midnight” by American author Collins) Pakistan was to get 165,000 tons of military hardware under the division of assets agreement. The Ram Rajya stalwarts instead sent over mere 4700 tons of mostly junk material. There was a full-fledged Indian effort to gobble up Pakistan's share worth 550 million rupees. The Indian government was planning to launch a decisive attack on the newborn state of Pakistan in December 1947 to kill it in its infancy. However, some domestic constraints thwarted the plan. (Former Chief Justice Mehar Chand Mahajan)

Pakistan is a short-lived phenomenon. 300 million Hindus should get ready to lay down their lives if that is needed to eliminate Pakistan. (Diwan Chaman Lal)

If Kashmir separates from us on the basis of Muslim majority, we shall annihilate 50 million Indian Muslims (Lal Bahadur Shastri, Prime Minister of India. 1966)

In 1947 when Pakistan came into being, the adherents of Rama Rajya and Sikhs killed a million Muslims. Their entire settlements were torched. Countless women were violated and abducted. Muslim houses and shops were looted. Thousands of refugees in trains going to Pakistan were slaughtered. Their wells and all drinking water were poisoned with copper sulfate. Numerous Muslims were burnt alive. Their bodies were dismembered. Children were spiked on points of spears. Thousands upon thousands of mosques were converted into Hindu and Sikh temples. Pregnant women were ripped apart and fetuses destroyed.

Sponsored by the Indian government, there have been over ten thousand anti-Muslim riots since 1947 in which more than 200,000 Muslims have been slaughtered. It is appalling that till now not one Hindu has been penalized for these riots. No other nation in history has got away with such transgression.

"My father let Mother India be cut up in parts. A united, undivided India will always remain a Hindu’s desire.” (Indira Gandhi, Prime Minister of India, 1972)

These are only a few glimpses into the Hindu mind, his politics and history. Let us be grateful to Chaudhry Rahmat Ali who made an unambiguous declaration in London on January 20, 1933, "We will not get crucified at the stake of Hindu nationalism." He also gave the name Pakistan to the emerging land. Living far away from the country Rahmat Ali had anticipated future events.

Contrary to this, city-dwellers or village folk, Muslims are naïve! The majority of Muslims happen to be ignorant of the shady history of Hinduism, and its political motives. Innocently, Muslims ask, "Why did Quaid-e-Azam achieve Pakistan?" "Why could not Hindus and Muslims live together?" The latest question happens to be, "Why did Pakistan explode a nuclear device?"

“Nature's verdict for the crime of weakness is nothing but demise.” [Iqbal]

M.A.Jinnah - Hindu hatred of Islam & Muslims
Some people still ask why the creation of Pakistan was necessary.

I will let my book "M.A.Jinnah, the Greatest Leader in Centuries" do the talking. Accurate references from 31 reliable sources are being given. Editing and proper composition will be done at the end.
M.A.Jinnah - Why Pakistan was Necessary

The Hindu extremists have been trying to exterminate Islam and Muslims for centuries although most Muslim rulers have treated them very amicably.

- 1670 CE: Maratha leader Shiva Ji s/o Jeeja Bai announced, "My sword will run rivers of Muslim blood all over India. I will not let a single Muslim survive in Hindustan."

- 1685 CE: Sanbha Ji s/o Shiva Ji ordered his Maratha group to carefully find the Maleechh (filthy) Muslims, kill them and clean Hindustan.

- 1700 CE: The Mughal Emperor Jalaluddin Muhammad Akbar (Mughal-e-Azam) had been extraordinarily kind and generous to Hindus. Yet, in 1700 CE Ram Rajia Hindus exhumed his body in Sikandarabad, slashed it in pieces and burned the remains. Why? His name carried Muhammad in the middle of his name.

- 1707 CE: When Emperor Aurangzeb Alamgir died, fanatic Hindus lighted candles, played Holi, the festival of colors, and passed a resolution to drown Muslims in the Indian ocean.

- 1707-1798: Militant Hindus ran amok with the mass murder of Muslims. Countless Masjids were demolished or turned into Hindu temples and they raped innumerable Muslim women.

- 1757 CE: Bengali officers of Nawab Sirajuddaula [Ameer Chand, Manik Chand, Raj Bilabh and Roy Dilrabh] instigated the prime minister Mir Jaafar to covertly assassinate the valiant young Nawab of Bengal.

- 1740 CE: Sahu s/o Sanbha Ji and their 'Peshwa' (spiritual guide) Bala Ji Baji Rao resolved, "Cut the tree from its stem (every pillar of strength) and branches will drop by themselves."

- 1799: When Tipu Sultan of Mysore was about to decimate and expel the British imperialism from India, Maratha Hindu armies came to their rescue and the Brits martyred the last hope of Indian Muslims.

M.A.Jinnah - Why Pakistan was Necessary

1831: Maulvi Ismail and Syed Ahmed Barelwi were launching a tremendous Jihad to liberate India from the British imperialism. Hindus and Sikhs poisoned and martyred them at Balakot near Peshawar.

1857: During the 1857 liberation fight against the Brits, Hindu leaders Hulkar, Gaekwad and Sindhiya supported the occupiers.

1873: Swami Dayanand Sarswati initiated the SHUDHI movement. All Muslims in India must convert to Hinduism or leave the country or drowned in the Indian Ocean. “Hindustan is for Hindus alone.” [Ganga Dhar Tilak]

1923: Pundit Madan Mohan Malviya and Swami Shardha Nand conspired with the viceroy and started the militant SHANGHATAN movement which taught them martial arts in order to disable Muslims.

1925: No country in the world can digest the rock of Islam. It will always create colic in their society. We must convert all Muslims in India to Hinduism and do the same in Afghanistan. We will establish the SAURAAJ (good Hindu rule) in the subcontinent. [SHANGHATAN leader, Lala Hardayal]

1927: “O disciples of Arjun! If you kill all Muslims from Karachi to Mecca in return for slaughtering a cow, still the revenge will not be enough.” [Mahashe Pratap]

1938: Dr. Zakir Hussain and a disciple of Gandhi, ‘Maulana’ Abul Kalam Azad, formulated a Brahmu Samaj education system WARDHA. The central theme of the system taught that all religions were true. “It will be a crime to teach students that Islam is the true System of Life.”

1940: Swami Satya Dev distributed millions of pamphlets in India stating, “O Muslims! If you want to live in the subcontinent, following are the conditions”:
1- Reject the Quran.
2- Leave Muhammad alone.
3- Break all connections with Mecca.
4- Study Panth Kabir and Tulsi Das, but no Muslim poet.
5- Celebrate all Hindu festivals.
6- Fly Vedic Dharam or Ariya Samaj flags on Masjids.
7- The killer of a Muslim and the rapist of a Muslim woman will go straight to paradise. [Lala Dhanpat Roy]
8- Do not chant Allahu Akbar, nor call yourselves servants of God. Chant VANDAY MA TARAM (We are the worshipers of our land).
17- M.A.Jinnah - Why Pakistan was Necessary

1- 1946: Let all the nation burn; we will not give one inch of land in the name of Pakistan. [Gandhi, the proponent of non-violence]
2- Snatch knives from Pathans, arm Hindu women with pistols and guns. [Gandhi]
3- Cut the roots of Urdu. Its letters resemble the Quran. [Gandhi]
4- The price of a Harijan is equal to an ox. The value of a Musalman is less than an ox. [Raja Ram]

We had planned to attack and finish newborn Pakistan in December 1947. Some domestic problems foiled our plans. [Chief Justice, Mr Mahajin]
The creation of Pakistan was a tragic accident. Even if the 300 million Hindus have to lay down their lives, we must finish Pakistan. [Diwan Chaman Lal, 1947]
My father committed the blunder of letting Pakistan come into being. A united India will remain an eternal ambition of every Hindu. [PM Indira Gandhi, 1980]
Indian RSS tried to assassinate Quaid-e-Azam on 14th August 1947 in Karachi. The bomb planted in his motorcade failed to explode. [“Freedom at Midnight”]
If Kashmiris liberate from us, we will annihilate 50 million Muslims in India. [PM Lal Bahadur Shastri, 1966]
According to Indian statistics, more than 12,000 government-sponsored riots have exploded against Muslims since 1947. [Journalist Malhotra]

In 1947, Nehru, Patel and Mountbatten conspired to dishonestly give away the Muslim majority district of Gurdaspur to India.
