It is very much like Saint Paul's lame confession given in the New Testament: "If my lie increases the glory of God, why am I judged as a sinner telling lies?"

The matter was more serious. Paul had started preaching what the pagans in those towns wanted to hear. The dogmas of God-incarnate, physical Son-ship, the Lamb of God, the blood Atonement, and the Sacraments, instead of Law, all were the existing beliefs of the Sun-god cults.

Telling lies is OK for preaching!
