Since childhood I have experienced influenza as part of life. Every year most of the Pakistanis suffer from it. They do not take it seriously and treat it with Joshanda, Paracetamol and hot drinks. I distinctly remember the Hong Kong flu in the early 50s. Nobody knew about it and had no medicine to counter the epidemic. I also had a bout of it. The Govt. of Pakistani kept telling the nation to use Cinnamon tea as a medicine and it worked. The fever was treated with Aspro. This history of Flu in Pakistan has made most of us immune in varying degrees and that is why the number of Covid 19 patients is not alarming as compared to the West. Flu for the The Western population is lethal like dysentery which is very common in Pakistan.
Hats off to our dirty life conditions.
