The so-called "Prophet" Baha (the Gate, d.1850) of Iran was better than Mirza Qadiani of India (d.1908) since he boldly rescinded his faith in Islam and never declared others as KAFIRS. Mirza Qadiani had claimed prophethood in Islam and declared all his deniers as apostates.

23 Oct 1844 was known as the DAY OF GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT in Europe when Jesus Christ failed to show up as prophecied by top Christian clergy.

Syed Ali Muhammad born Oct 20, 1719, Shiraz, Iran was later called BAB (The Gate to God). He claimed to have descended from Prophets Ibrahim and Muhammad and was therefore widely revered. He traveled to Karbala at age 20 and then to KAABA in Makkah but he was rebuffed at both places.

Syed Ali Muhammad Bab was executed by Shah Qachar's firing squad in July 1850.

Bab had named his chief disciple Muhammad Ali Hussain as BAHAULLAH.

In 1863 Bahaullah claimed to be the heir to Bab and moved to Haifa, Israel, where he lies buried under a stately dome.

There are 5 million Bahaiis in 200 countries today.
