Summary of why only AlQuran

Ahmed Moosa
Jan 28 at 5:54 AM

Slms. This is a very short summary of verses regarding the importance of AlQur'an from within AlQur'an. There are numerous more such similar verses that one will find if one studies the Divine Book.

To begin the discussion: in the following verse Allah SWT informed us in His Book that Muhammad was chosen as a messenger.

Surah Ash-Shura, Verse 52:

And thus have We (Allah), by Our Command, sent inspiration to thee (Muhammad): thou (Muhammad) knewest not (before) what was Revelation, and what was Faith (Iman); but We (Allah) have made the (Qur'an) a Light, wherewith We (Allah) guide such of Our servants as We (Allah) will; and verily thou (Muhammad) dost guide (men) to the Straight Way,-
(English - Yusuf Ali)

Note: This verse tells us that Muhammad didn't know that he was going to be chosen as a messenger.

Surah Al-Muzzammil, Verse 5:

Soon shall We (Allah) send down to thee (Muhammad) a weighty Message.
(English - Yusuf Ali)

Note the words: Weighty Message to be Revealed to Muhammad.

Surah Al-Anaam, Verse 19:

(Allah commanded Muhammad to) Say: "What thing is most Weighty in Evidence?" Say: "Allah is witness between me (Muhammad) and you; this QUR'AN hath been revealed to me (Muhammad) by inspiration (Wahy), that I (Muhammad,) may warn you and all whom IT (AlQur'an) reaches. Can ye possibly bear witness that besides Allah there is another Allah?" Say: "Nay! I (Muhammad) cannot bear witness!" Say: "But in truth He is the one Allah, and I (Muhammad,) truly am innocent of (your blasphemy of) joining others with Him."
(English - Yusuf Ali)

Note: In this verse Allah commanded Muhammad to Say / inform everyone during his lifetime time as well as all future human beings still to come in existence and to tell them that AlQur'an is the Most Powerful and Supreme Message. AlQur'an has reached us do we have no excuse.
(Refer to chapter 38 verse 67 as well.)

So what was Muhammad's duty after receiving this Weighty Powerful Message? The following verses are clear about his duties.

Surah Al-Maeda, Verse 67:

O Messenger! (Muhammad) proclaim the (message of AlQuran) which hath been sent to thee (Muhammad) from thy Lord. If thou (Muhammad) didst not, thou (Muhammad) wouldst not have fulfilled and proclaimed His mission. And Allah will defend thee (Muhammad) from people (who mean mischief). For Allah guideth not those who reject Faith.
(English - Yusuf Ali)

Note: Muhammad's duty was to Proclaim only AlQuran.

Surah Al-Anbiya, Verse 45:

Say, "I (Muhammad) do but warn you (all) according to Revelation" (AlQuran): but the deaf will not hear the call, (even) when they are warned!
(English - Yusuf Ali)

Note: Muhammad warned according to Revelation i.e. AlQuran only.

[LSurah Az-Zukhruf, Verse 43:

So hold thou (Muhammad) fast to the Revelation sent down to thee (Muhammad); verily thou (Muhammad) art on a Straight Way.
(English - Yusuf Ali)

Surah Az-Zukhruf, Verse 44:

The (Qur'an) is indeed the message, for thee (Muhammad) and for thy people; and soon shall ye (all) be brought to account.
(English - Yusuf Ali)

Note: In verse 43 Allah SWT says AlQuran MUST be followed by Muhammad, and in verse 44 Allah SWT again reiterated that Muhammad must follow AlQuran only as well as his followers. Please read carefully.

Now to quote a few verses to further elaborate on the above mentioned verses from AlQuran why AlQuran MUST be followed and no other books.

Surah Al-Baqara, Verse 147:

The Truth (AlHaq) is from thy Lord; so be not at all in doubt.
(English - Yusuf Ali)

Surah Aal-e-Imran, Verse 60:

The Truth (comes) from Allah alone; so be not of those who doubt.
(English - Yusuf Ali)

Note: Exact same verse in two different chapters.

Surah An-Nisa, Verse 166:

But Allah beareth witness that what He hath sent unto thee (Muhammad) He hath sent from His (own) knowledge, and the mala'ikah bear witness: But enough is Allah for a witness.
(English - Yusuf Ali)

Surah Al-Araf, Verse 52:

For We had certainly sent unto them a Book, based on knowledge, which We (Allah) explained in detail,- a guide and a mercy to all who believe.
(English - Yusuf Ali)

Surah Az-Zumar, Verse 1:

The Revelation of this Book is from Allah, the Exalted in Power, full of Wisdom.
(English - Yusuf Ali)

Surah Ghafir, Verse 2:

The revelation of this Book is from Allah, Exalted in Power, Full of Knowledge,-
(English - Yusuf Ali)

Surah Yunus, Verse 82:

"And Allah by His words doth prove and establish His truth, however much the sinners may hate it!"
(English - Yusuf Ali)

Surah An-Nahl, Verse 64:

And We (Allah) sent down the Book to thee (Muhammad) for the Express Purpose, that thou (Muhammad) shouldst make clear to them those things in which they differ, and that it should be a guide and a mercy to those who believe.
(English - Yusuf Ali)

Note: Allah SWT Revealed AlQuran for the Express Purpose so that any differences we have will be settled by AlQuran.

Surah Ar-Rad, Verse 37:

Thus have We (Allah) revealed IT (AlQuran) to be a Judgment of authority in Arabic. Were thou (Muhammad) to follow their (vain) desires after the knowledge which hath reached thee, then wouldst thou find neither protector nor defender against Allah.
(English - Yusuf Ali)

Note: AlQuran is a Judgement on everything we differ on with a warning to Muhammad.

Surah Al-Anaam, Verse 114:

Say: "Shall I (Muhammad) seek for judge other than Allah? - when He (Allah) it is Who hath sent unto you the Book, explained in detail." They know full well, to whom We have given the Book, that IT hath been sent down from thy Lord in truth. Never be then of those who doubt.
(English - Yusuf Ali)

Note: Allah SWT commanded Muhammad to Say / inform all that he will never accept anything or anyone as s Judge except Allah SWT.

The following verses further elaborate the above mentioned verses.

Surah Al-Maeda, Verse 44:

(....) If any do fail to Judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (no better than) Unbelievers (Kafiroon).
(English - Yusuf Ali)

Note: Those who do not judge according to Revelation AlQuran Allah SWT says that they are Kafiroon (unbelievers).

Surah Al-Maeda, Verse 45:

(....) And if any fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (No better than) wrong-doers.
(English - Yusuf Ali)

Note: In this verse Allah SWT says that they are Zalimoon, evildoers.

Surah Al-Maeda, Verse 47:

Let the people of the Al-Injeel judge by what Allah hath revealed therein. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (no better than) those who rebel.
(English - Yusuf Ali)

Note: In this verse Allah SWT says that they are Fasikoon, rebellious.

Note also that all the Previous Revelations, that is At-Taurat, and Al-Injeel is now within AlQur'an so Allah's Message is and always been the same over the ages.

Surah Qaf, Verse 29:

"The Word changes not before Me (Allah), and I (Allah) do not the least injustice to My Servants."
(English - Yusuf Ali)

Surah Fussilat, Verse 43:

Nothing is said to thee (Muhammad) that was not said to the messengers before thee (Muhammad,): that thy Lord has at His Command (all) forgiveness as well as a most Grievous Penalty.
(English - Yusuf Ali)

Note: SAME MESSAGE given to all previous messengers.

Surah Taha, Verse 133:

They say: "Why does he (Muhammad,) not bring us a sign from his Lord?" Has not a Clear Sign come to them of all that was in the former Books of revelation?
(English - Yusuf Ali)

Note: All Previous Revelation At-Taurat and Al-Injeel is within AlQur'an.

Surah Yunus, Verse 15:

But when Our Clear Signs (ayat) are rehearsed unto them, those who rest not their hope on their meeting with Us (Allah), : they say: "Bring us a reading other than this, or change this," Say: "It is not for me (Muhammad), of my own accord, to change it: I (Muhammad) follow naught but what is revealed (AlQuran) unto me: if I (Muhammad) were to disobey my Lord, I (Muhammad) should myself fear the penalty of a Great Day (to come)."
(English - Yusuf Ali)

Note: the unbelievers asked Muhammad to change some things in AlQuran or bring another book. Read carefully: Muhammad says he cannot change anything or bring another book but he FOLLOWS ONLY ALQURAN.

If Muhammad brought another book like some people are fond of claiming, then note the following warnings in AlQuran by Allah SWT to Muhammad.

Surah Al-Haaqqa, Verse 43:

(This QUR'AN is) a Message sent down from the Lord of the Worlds.

Surah Al-Haaqqa, Verse 44:

And if the messenger (Muhammad) were to invent any sayings in Our (Allah's) name,

Surah Al-Haaqqa, Verse 45:

We (Allah) should certainly seize him (Muhammad) by his right hand,

Surah Al-Haaqqa, Verse 46:

And We (Allah) should certainly then cut off the artery of his (Muhammad's) heart:

Surah Al-Haaqqa, Verse 47:

Nor could any of you withhold him (from Our wrath).
(English - Yusuf Ali)
