Great leaders change the course of history. Top down in Pakistan is a start but the down is immense when we have self-serving politicians, land-owners and the inevitable self-indulgent mullas who know no bounds. I do not think Imran is like the Malaysian Prime Minister, but he looks like he has the right intentions and if he develops himself, works slow and steady in the right manner, then it should bode well for Pakistan.
As for hadith, I used to accept some hadith that agreed with the Qur'an, your 300 or so, but realised that unless we get rid of the whole lot from the psyche of the so-called muslims, then the psyche will not develop Qur'anically.
If the Qur'an is not enough, then we will remain tied to the past, deaf, dumb and blind to reason, and what can be more unreasonable than denying what is claimed by all, the Hadith of Allah:-
4:87 Allah! There is no god but He. He will summon all of you on the Day of Resurrection about the advent of which there is no doubt. Who can tell you a more reliable HADITH (saying) than Allah?
So, yes, the hadith have kept some away from Allah and their humanity.
