Our Hearts Go To Christchurch
Wahe Guru ji ka Khalsa, Wahe Guru ji Ki Fateh!
We, at Sikhnet, are horrified by the devastating and tragic news from Christchurch, New Zealand on Friday, March 15. It was their home, and the 49 Muslims who died whilst in their house of worship should have been safe. We stand as one with people of every faith from around the world in our efforts to create a more compassionate, peaceful and loving world!
As Sikhs of the Guru, we support people of faith everywhere and we stand behind every human's right to be safe, to live in grace and dignity, and to worship, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or religious affiliation. We join the world-community in condemning the tragic and brutal hatred unleashed at the Mosques on the Muslim's Holy Day of Prayer. We invite you to gather friends and families around, join together and chant Akaal or recite Sukhmani Sahib or sing kirtan together. Send prayers for the safe passage of the souls of those slain, and for those who have survived to help them through this time of anguish, trauma and loss.
We support the New Zealand Council of Victim Support Groups and urge you to give as generously as you are able to their crowdfunding campaign.
With all love in the Divine,
