I have a confession to make: I really don't do namaz. The reason I don't do it was that when I first reverted and tried to learn it the resources I found placed a very strong emphasis on not making mistakes and going into great detail about spacing of arms, feet, shoulders, etc. I even went to a mosque to learn but felt very self-conscious about doing it "right". And I was confused about the different way women are supposed to do the ritual prayers versus the men. Namaz was causing me so much stress that I felt worse afterward which is just ridiculous. Could anyone give me some advice for namaz? I know that prayer can have good psychological benefits and help focus the mind on God. I really just need some help. Thanks.
