Dear Dr. Shabbir,
Kindest and most open-minded teacher of God's book ever i know! 🌷 You are higher than a human, you are angel, God's kind and merciful angel and QXP is the best evidence of this fact, the best translation of the Quran on this planet, a translation that is free for all on web.
May i humbly present my simple proposition on Enoch and Noah in QXP and the book A History:
- Maybe the statement "one of the first prophets" instead "the first prophet" in QXP 23:23 can be an alternative as the Quran does not explicitly say Noah was the "first" prophet (25:37).
- Maybe the word "Enoch (Idrees)" in QXP can be simply written "Idrees" and in the book A History of Prophets it can be listed between Ishmael and Ezekiel chronologically (21:85, although even this verse does not prove his era but at least it is an alternative for Biblical reference for Idrees' time).
A little thing, i always check QXPvi new version, but it seems Bismilah of chapter 9 on Ourbeacon library has not parentheses yet. Please update it.
And a little question:
I wish translate the Quran one day, after learning enough, may i ask a linguistic question to learn deeply,
can we consider Taa. Seen (طس) as abbreviation of God's various attributes besides meanings you beautifully mentioned in QXP and QKNM (ie. Toore Sina as well as a word for addressing the Exalted Prophet as in QKNM),
please let me ask it this way: is there any golden rule that can help us in distinguishing the correct meanings for Muqattaat from fake ones in the resources?
Thank you so much for your kindness, energy and time,
All the best,
