Dear Prof. Rafi,
Salam o rahmat,
Dear teacher, i pondered on your beautiful reply to my post on economic (some months ago) and also searched and read your other posts on Ourbeacon.
The following paragraph is my understanding of your valuable posts, please correct me if i am wrong:
Riba is an inseparable part of today economic system. In some circumstances, we cannot avoid some types of it such as investments or work in banks or even taking interest of bank account, in fact all works in the current system someway relate to Riba.
But it does not mean that we can take interest from a person on a loan, because it is a direct exploiting.
I think, in the current economic system (capitalism), we should do win-win works and businesses, an this works may be renting out, working in bank etc.
Getting rid of Riba (or at least all types of it) is not the first stage in the individual scale of life, even Allame Parwez in the book Economic System of the Holy Quran (http://resurgentislam.com/wp-content/uploads/Economic-System-of-The-Holy-Quran.pdf ) does not mention eradicating Riba in the first stage (i.e. individual life) but he mentions it in the second stage (i.e. collective life).
All the best,
