In the world of the blind the cockeyed is the king.
I would be no better if my assessment of the debate did not comes from the Post-Modern Faith of Abraham, which is based on pure “reason and science”.
Basically, Abraham used “the natural laws of the heavens and the earth” to believe in God but not in Religion and follow the secular and scientific path of the Creation (sun, moon, stars, mountains, trees, etc) without being Godless.
Hence, from this knowledge of his Faith, he was able to intersect the secular and the religious and expose all the extremists and fundamentalists teachings and practices within and between them that did make them separate and exclusive in his life, which Dawkins and Hasan failed to do.
In addition to this, he made greater sense than atheism and secularism, not only because he related his knowledge of science to Nature like atheists and secularists do, but also because he used Nature’s methodology of ilm-ul-yaqin, ayn-ul-yaqin and haqq-ul-yaqin to do so, which atheists and secularists have failed to do.
Therefore, the reason why Dawkins does not believe in God is because his “science based” and “evidence based” methodology is not natural to the science taught by Nature.
And likewise, in this instance, Hasan failed to impress because he gave way to the blind faith methodology of Religion. Had he had true knowledge of the Abrahamic Faith, he would have made a difference.
