Giving comes from taking and taking comes from giving. Like egg comes from chicken and chicken from the egg. This is binary, each is responsible for the other.

If eating poison is deadly so is administering poison deadly.

I guess Islamic jurisprudence follow such logic that makes both giving and taking interest unlawful. Which also extends to those who facilitate the process by keeping records or working in the bank?

Extending it further, passionate Moulvis do not attend dinner in the house of those whose income comes from interest-based work. The applied logic is how one can be friends with someone who is at war with God. By accepting dinner invitation means you are on the wrong side of the fence.
