Assalaamu Alaykum All;
I am not sure how the rest of you feel but I am really fed-up with reading depressing messages on this topic Eid after Eid and year after year!
What is it with those who dwell on this topic that by now we should have learned that there is no "solution" and nor needs to be one?
Why can't we All live with the fact that the Muslim Ummah is not a homogeneous entity and there have always been and will always be differences in opinion and that is actually okay.
Living in the Bay Area, over the decades, I have learned and accepted the fact that this does not need to be a divisive issue! Alhamdulillah, we are blessed, there are plenty of masajid in the Bay Area for anyone to join and celebrate the Eid the way they like and on the date they like.
Those who are trying to impose their opinion onto others (ironically in the name creating unity) are All wrong and causing Fitna!
Please stop belittling fellow Muslims just because they disagree with you!
May Allah SWT help and guide us all...Aameen.
