Have you seen the State opening of parliament in the UK where men in black stockings knock on big wooden doors with big metal objects? No one else does this and do you think that if we stopped this practise the government would collapse? Does not need answering, it is obvious it would not.
Parwez wrote and said that we should not stop the namaz ritual to prevent further splitting of the ummah [too little, too late in my opinion] until a real Islamic government comes about and they will decide what rites should be done. If you read his explanation of salaat he clearly demonstrates that it is not a physical act but about being dutiful to the commands of Allah. When the good results of this obedience come to light, you have every right to praise Allah, thank Allah, express yourself in whatever manner you wish, but you have no right to say SALAAT is a physical prayer ritual. That mistake was made 1200 or so years ago and we are suffering the consequences ever since.
Allah did not command a physical prayer, so you are not being dutiful to Allah by doing this, you are following Bukhari and other ancestors.
I repeat, as this is very important for those who do a physical prayer, do namaz, pooja, physical worship, but you are not doing salaat at that time.
