Present Namaz has two parts.
one is spritual, other is physical.
Normal good muslim perform both, one cant be wrong in the first part any way, the second physcial one may not be as original as we do it today.
But whats wrong in it, standing, sitting, bowing. It helps one way or the other even if its zorastarian copy. You are doing it for God and not for any thing else.
If one differs in number, so be it. We have option to select number.
Timings are there. 24/58, 17/78, 2/238, 11/114, 17/78, 11/114, 24/58, 4/103.
4/103........Be mindful of Allah’s Commands whatever state you are in, standing, sitting or lying down. And when you are once again secure, establish the congregations of Salat. Joining the congregations of Salat at the times appointed by the Central Authority is a duty unto believers.
There are good muslim who get inspiration, motivation and spritual peace from Namaz (Physical Salat).
Most importantly, our prophet Mohammad use to pray physically, how many, it doesnt matter, but he did. For us that should be enough as Sunnah.
The other thing that if we dont pray, will we be punished, i dont believe so. Quran doesnt say that, Allah will not punish those who do good deeds but not pray. Good deed is itself a prayer.
