A Post-Modern society based on “reason and science” can be established in two different ways by two different methodologies.
For example, it can be established by the “science based”/”evidence based” methodology of modern science, which denies the existence of God and religion altogether.
Another way in which it can be established is by the natural and universal methodology of ilm-ul-yaqin (certainty of knowledge by inference and reasoning), ayn-ul-yaqin (certainty of knowledge by seeing and observing) and haqq-ul-yaqin (absolute knowledge, like this is a computer, etc), which intersects the knowledge of the secular and religious, by believing in God as Creator, Designer, Sustainer, etc, of universe, free of all dogmas and doctrines of religion and by following the secular and scientific path of the creation without being Godless.
Definitely, it cannot be established by the blind faith methodology of religion because religion and science are two separate entities which contradict one another in almost every issue of life, even in methodology.
Therefore, when the Prophet Abraham was shown “the natural laws of the different dominions of the heavens and the earth” by God, he used the methodology of ilm-ul-yaqin, ayn-ul-yaqin and haqq-ul-yaqin, not only to deduce that God was Creator, Designer, Protector, Sustainer, etc, of the Universe, free of all dogma and doctrines of religion, but also to deduce that he had to follow the secular and scientific path of all of God’s creations without being Godless.
Thus, the Post-Modern Faith of Abraham is not the parallel development of the secular and religious, where one renders unto God what is God’s and unto Caesar what is Caesar’s.
It is a complete intersection of the secular and religious, not only by eliminating the dichotomy of the secular and religious but also by superimposing the true knowledge of science, religion, culture, politics, etc, one on top of the other without creating any boundaries within and between them that make them separate and exclusive, which is done purely through the wisdom and knowledge of God’s Word found in the Qur’an.
Thus, the Post-Modern Faith of Abraham is a unique system of life. It is neither entirely secular nor entirely religious. All its teachings, words and terminologies have a specific meaning, which intersect the secular and religious rejecting that which divides them. For example, deen is not religion but a Post-Modern way of life where one believes in God but not in religion. Likewise, the word ibbadat does not mean “worship God”. It means “serve God” as caliph (vicegerent) and khalil (friend) according to the knowledge of the deen and not according to ones own desire, secular or religious, and so on.
The majority of the Muslim religious leaders are not aware of this very intricate balance between the secular and religious, which explains “the all truth” and Reality of our universe. Hence, they promote religion and religious education, much against the concept of their deen, by stating that secular education is Western, worldly and Christian and will not help in the akhirah (hereafter), with the result that they have not developed the ummah sufficiently enough in the secular way of life to defend themselves militarily and politically against the Western nations who invade their lands, steal their oil, rape their women, etc, which the Qur’an states as a “fitting punishment and humiliation” for those Muslim who do listen to the Word of God, (Al Qur’an 22:18, 3:83).
Likewise, they are entrenched in the blind faith of religion to such an extent that, like in all religions, they are divided into many sects, which hate one another for what they believe and their enemies are using their division not only to rule them but also to incite them to buy arms from them to kill their own Muslim brothers and sisters. This is the price they have to pay for not following the Deen of Allah as per the knowledge of Qur’an, which clearly states not to follow religion and divide into sects.
Their situation is getting worse. No nation wants them in their country because their culture, which they believe is Islamic, is totally contrary to the teachings of Diversity, Democracy and the worldview teachings of Tawhid (unity and universality) taught by the Qur’an. Hence, all their misfortunes in the world today are not due to a test from Allah but are of their own making. And if they are not to going to listen to the Word of God in the Qur’an, the ethnic cleansing of their nations will remain in all the countries of the world, and Allah will never come to their rescue.
Unfortunately, the Ahlul Qur’an (students of Qur’an Alone) cannot help solve the problem of the ummah because they do not fully understand the true teachings of the Qur’an based on the “Creeds of Abraham”, which intersect the secular and religious knowledge of our Universe by relating the nature of man to “the natural laws of the different dominions of the heavens and the earth”. I have explained this in more detail in my E-book titled “ABRAHAM’S FAITH: Post-Modern Way of Life, not Religion”.
