BBC reported first that the world renowned physicist Stephen Hawking has died at the age of 76.
He died peacefully at his home in Cambridge in the early hours of Wednesday, his family said.
The British scientist was famed for his work with black holes and relativity, and wrote several popular science books including A Brief History of Time.
We hope and pray that God overlooks any of his short comings and rewards him for the best of his contributions to science and humanity.
At the age of 22, Prof. Hawking was given only a few years to live after being diagnosed with a rare form of motor neuron disease. Despite a 76 year long life of unusual suffering, he led a life of amazing grace, patience and unprecedented productivity, for the cause of science and humanity.
Towards his last decades, he believed in neither God, nor human soul. We hope and pray that in the final analysis he is judged not by these ideas, but his positive contributions.
