ASKM Thank you for your response. Yes, Allah clearly says "Hadithin". I wonder how the scheikhs on my trip will help me answer that one. One of them is a well known youtube Imam.
What is your feeling about Taraweeh prayers? I like them but don't go very often. After I first converted I was once lectured by a Hanafi Imam that it invalidated my prayer to read the Quran during it on my phone. Which is not an obligatory prayer anyway?
As for the salah in general, this I do like, maybe love. For a ritual, it seems a perfect synergy of mind and body to communicate with God and regular and defined intervals. But I have also been wondering how this was taught to Mohammad (pbuh)?
As for the evangelical preacher, it's not what you think. Very low key with millions of followers and 50,000 at Sunday service. I have been reading about Mohammad (pbuh) being mentioned several times in the Bible - do you think the interpretation is right?
