Part of the problem in my humble opinion is previous mistaken policies like
saddling Jordan with debt that only serves Israel-US interests including
the environmentally devastating “Red Sea-Dead Sea Canal” and the use of
Jordanian soil to channel Saudi and US support to groups in Syria that
wanted to topple a government creating large influx of Syrian refugees to
Jordan (only 40% of the financial burden is covered by UN and Western aid).
