Why focus on children?

Why do we in the Palestine Museum of Natural History and Palestine
Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability (http://palestinenature.org)
focus on children?briefly, we agree with Barrows: “The man who inflicts
violence on women was damaged during childhood. The white person who
inflicts violence on people of colour was damaged during childhood. The
employer who exploits workers was damaged during childhood. The individual
who endorses the state violence inflicted on indigenous peoples was damaged
during childhood. The terrorist, the political leader who wages war and the
soldier who kills in our name were all damaged during childhood. The person
who supports structures of violence (such as the military, police, legal
and prison systems) was damaged during childhood. The person who supports
structures of exploitation (such as capitalism and imperialism) was damaged
during childhood. The person who thoughtlessly participates in destruction
of the natural environment was damaged during childhood.”

We just had our science fair at Bethlehem University Friday and Saturday
(done by university students for benefit of school students). Students
showed interesting products and ideas in areas of physics, chemistry,
biology, math, and IT/Computer sciences. On Friday Israeli snipers killed
four Palestinians in Gaza (including the 15 year old child Mohammed Ibrahim
Ayoub) and Israeli Mossad is accused of assassinating Palestinian scientist
Fadi M. Albatsh in Malaysia (two assassins pumped 10 bullets in him). Fadi
received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the
Islamic University of Gaza, Palestine, in 2006 and 2009, respectively. He
received PhD degree from the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
in 2015. He was Senior Lecturer at Electrical Engineering Section, British
Malaysian Institute, Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL). Dr Fadi is the author
and co-author of more than 25 publications in international journals in the
area of Power Systems and Power Electronics.

The Western governments and elite media hypocrisy is unprecedented. In the
past four demonstrations in Gaza, 39 Palestinians protesting peacefully
were murdered and over 3000 injured (hundreds becoming handicapped by
explosive bullet injuries) by the largest terrorist organization in the
world: the Israeli army. About a third of the victims are children. Some
400 children are currently in Israeli jails. Little is mentioned about
these things in the so called mainstream media. So below I make some links
to key issues of interest to children.
