Cause & Effect -Science of History/philosophy of History ;-Quran does not describe History as chronicle but as science /philosophy /Cause of every Effect
The Qur'an has periodically invited man's attention to ponder over the universe & the science or philosophy of history as both the fields reflect the same Divine purpose.Quran informs us the operability of Divine Purpose in nature & in human affairs as well .The nations who had acted in harmony with Divine's laws ,they prospered ,progressed & took their rightful place in the vanguard of civilisation & those acted against had fallen behind other nations ,have been decayed or supplanted by other nations .Which indicates each way of life produces its own consequences .These laws which govern these results are the laws of Requital ,as every effect has the cause & nothing happens through chance neither in nature nor in history .
History is the record of rise & fall of the nations which tells us about the nations that flourished in the past ,their way of life ,the goal they pursued ,the values upon their culture was founded & the consequences of those actions .
Quran is not a book of history for recording mere the chronicles but the causes of that rise & fall ie philosophy or science of history so that we should learn lesson & avoid annihilation to refrain from those causes which took the nations of the past to this disastrous fate .In short if we wish to make best of life we must study history relating to the conduct of the people with the fate that befell them.Quran invites to study the fate of such nations
(40-82-83 ). The method of Quran is first to state the laws that govern the fate of nations & then to quote instances from history to illustrate the working of those laws. The purpose is not to record past events in all their details as you have declared them as Asatir ul Awwaleen (Mr Sidqi ) but to highlight its central philosophy of CAUSE & leave out the rest .
In short we should never take such historical events as Asateer ul Awwaleen ie relating to that period only & has nothing to do with the coming generations .Quran is beyond time & localities. It embraces all the times coming ahead as Iqbal says;--
Sad jahan-e-taza dar ayat-e-oost ; Asrha paicheeda dar aanat-e-oost (Quran is beyond time rather it provides the requirements of every new time as it embodies tens of hundreds of undisclosed times )
