Is there any reliable history book?

Salaam to all,

I believe that the exalted Prophet and his four successors (Hazrat Ali, Abu Bakr, Umar and Uthman) were the best Humans and leaders because the Quran says so. And I believe they came Persia or Byzantium to release poor people and they didn't destroy libraries, books, building, they didn't ...women, they didn't force people to speak Arabic......!!!!

But it is a fact that many people believe that early Islamic wars/conquests were transgressive attacks to Byzantinium, Persia etc to plunder those countries/empires and a symbol of evil is Sa'd ibn Abi Waqaas because almost 90% of history books say so.

Is there any reliable comprehensive history book that can clarify the facts? Pdf or online.
(I've read Dr. Shabbir's masterpiece, True History and False Beliefs. I need a comprehensive history book like Allaama Parweez' Shaahkare Ensaaniyat but unfortunately it is in Urdu and I do not Urdu. I've read English Islam after Umar of G.A.P. )
