You or me do not have power to change any ruling. All we can do is to satisfy ourselves and wait until an authority could change the rulings. Here is another way of looking on this ayat. I am not saying this is a correct interpretation but presenting it for reflection and learning.
وَٱسۡتَشۡہِدُواْ شَہِيدَيۡنِ مِن رِّجَالِڪُمۡۖ and seek witness from two witnesses from your men
فَإِن لَّمۡ يَكُونَا رَجُلَيۡنِ If they are not two men (does not say if you cannot find two men)
فَرَجُلٌ۬ then a man (Does it mean if they are not two men then one man is enough as a witness?)
وَٱمۡرَأَتَانِ and two women (Can it mean that two women under same rule as for two men above i.e. two women and if they are not two women then one woman)
مِمَّن تَرۡضَوۡنَ مِنَ ٱلشُّہَدَآءِ from among the witnesses you agree with
أَن تَضِلَّ إِحۡدَٮٰهُمَا فَتُذَڪِّرَ إِحۡدَٮٰهُمَا ٱلۡأُخۡرَىٰۚ that one gets away from the path then reminds one of the two other
If this refers to two women then it means men cannot get away from the path, get confused or err.
