49:13 O Mankind! We have created you male and female, and have made you nations and tribes that you may recognize one another. Certainly, the most honored among you in the Sight of God is the one who is best in conduct. God is Knower, Aware.
Brother Dawood, you answered the evolution post with the meaning that we come from both a male father and female mother so this cannot mean anyone can come from a mother alone! The Quran cannot contradict itself.
If you want a "once upon a time Mary was walking along with her husband etc" from the Quran, sorry it does not do this, but it does tell us enough elsewhere that virgin birth is not part of the Sunnah of my Allah.
Dear brother, in my view the verse 49:13 has nothing to do with evolution. It is simply a statement of fact we all can testify to, namely, each one of us has a father (one male) and a mother (one female). The purpose of the verse is not to teach us about the evolution rather emphasize about the fact that we all are equal, tribes/nations are for recognition, and better are only those who are upright and better in conduct.
