There are two clashing sciences that are at work in Muslim societies. One that flies supersonic jet, the other white horse flying in the sky. These two contradictory sciences (Moulvi’s and Natural sciences) cannot be promoted together. There are many inventions in Moulvi sciences with its dominant narratives that negates the fundamental relations between cause and effect in physical sciences. The likes of Moulvi Tariq Jamil think that God is the cause of everything which is merely a related sequence of events, but God can choose to suspend it for the uplifting of Moulvi sciences. This nails the coffins of physical sciences.
The perils of these lines of thinking darkened the scientific cultures in societies after the golden age of Islam, when Muslim scientists made significant advances in medicine, astronomy, optics, and chemistry. That says societies cannot uplift physical science while under the growing influences of Moulvi sciences.
Unless of course if there can be two mutually exclusive, unrelated and separate brain networks in human body, one for believing modern analytical sciences, the other for Moulvi sciences in two different domains. Two in one. Perhaps OIC can shed some light on it.
