Here is a verse that clearly shows that sujood is not physical. Can you provide a verse with the word sujood THAT CAN ONLY MEAN A PHYSICAL PROSTRATION?
Pleas note the 'ONLY', no other explanation is possible like we have with "all beings and shadows".
If not , then the above verse dictates to us that sujood is mental submission and not physical so salat cannot have physical prostration as part of it.
NOOOOOOOO! I just had a nightmare! The Quran does not say we cannot prostrate so we can do it! Make it a religious obligation and get everyone prostrating when they should be submitting! Everything and anything goes in mullahland where the Quran is not enough.
