We need some explanation as why Pakistan is getting self-sufficient in religious energy (now also true for India), that can easily turn into physical energy under a given level of temperature and pressure. Here is one understanding that explains what creates such forces and how it impacts society.

An angry, unbending political Moulvi contains a unit of holy energy within his corporal. Religious shepherds in Pakistan think that their religion is important for everyone and their fate depend on it. Those dissenters could only roast in hell. When they want their holy power can physically unleash upon the deviants, both government and public, collectively or individually. Fatwa edicts are like shotguns in their arsenal that can wreck one’s life while the victim is still alive. The State is wary of such growing forces, but is helpless with its boneless police. Any police action against them can devastate the situation into category 8 hurricane. Only the standing army could handle it but the outcome could be far worse than it can imagine. The rule is, if solving a problem can create bigger problem than the problem itself, better leave as it is.

In this sense, holy energy is winning as benevolent forces in society. Once it is kinetic its impact on life and livelihood may be disrupting for a while but its benefit is taken as eternally worthy. The growing numbers in Pakistan feel that holy forces are the redeemer that state is not capable of.
