I should have added this to my other response to this post.
All Messengers are dead
3:144 Remember that Muhammad is only a Messenger. The messengers before him have passed on. So, if he died or were slain, would you turn about on your heels? But anyone who turns about his heels, would not, in the least, harm God. And God will soon reward those who remain appreciative (for the Guidance).
[The System the Prophet has established is to become a Beacon of Light for all humanity. The believers will reap the fruit of the Benevolent System here and then, get rewarded in the Hereafter. 3:101, 3:185, 35:10]
All Messengers before Muhammad were dead. Also specifically confirmed for Jesus by:-
5:75 The Messiah, son of Mary, was no other than a Messenger, like other messengers before him who passed on. And his mother was a woman of Truth. Both of them were human beings who had to eat food (like all other mortals). See how clearly We explain Our verses for them, and note how they still deviate!
Jesus was a messenger like all previous messengers and just like our Prophet Mohammad, peace be upon all of them, no different in any respect, birth or death. He was born, and he died, there is no reason why he should have been raised up and once again Muslims are following fantastic Christian interpolated stories.
Allah does not create an ordered universe only to break His own rules (though He is quite able to do so if He wishes but He does not do un-godly things). Look at the words:-
19:15 Peace on him the day he was born, the day he died and the day he shall be raised alive!
These relate to Yahya (John the Baptist). Was John levitated up to heaven? No true stories exist in the “traditions” or Bible so no-one says he was. The meaning is clear; birth, life, death and a future revival on Judgement Day, just like for the rest of us mortals. The same words are used for Jesus in:-
19:33 “Hence, peace was upon me on the day I was born, the day I die, and on the day I shall be raised to life again." [19:15]
19:34 Such was Jesus, the son of Mary and this is the Truth of this matter about whose nature they so deeply disagree.
5:116 On the Resurrection Day, God will say: O Jesus, son of Mary! Did you say to mankind, “Worship me and my mother as deities besides God?" He will respond, "Be You Glorified! I could never say what was not my right. If I said such a thing, You would indeed know it. You know what is in my mind, and I do not know what is in Your mind. You, only You are the Knower of what is beyond human perception.”
5:117 "Never did I say to them except what You commanded me to say, 'Worship and obey God my Lord and your Lord.' I was a witness to them as long as I lived among them. After You caused me to die, You were the Watcher over them and You are Witness over all things and events."
So again the Quran is confirming the natural life and death of Jesus and his, as well as all humanities, resurrection on Judgement Day. It is also confirmed in the above verse that it was after the death of Jesus that the corruption was spread about his “divinity”, for no-where in the Bible is he recorded to have said this. It is in the letters and books written after his death by the followers of the Pauline school of thought that have been deified Jesus.
Again, from my explanation of Wafat above, the “raised me up to Yourself” which was used by Y.Ali has been corrected to “die” and the meaning speaks for itself.
Another misunderstanding of verse 55 of Surah 3 has also been used to substantiate the ascension story:-
… raise you up [wa raafi'uka] to Me and purify [mutahhiruka] you of those who are unbelievers. And I will place the people who follow you above those who are unbelievers until the Day of Resurrection…
Here some scholars have stated that this purification is of Jesus being removed from the defiled earth to heaven. What they fail to understand, due to indoctrination, is that Jesus was innocent of their lies about him and this would be confirmed by the Last Revelation that places Jesus in his rightful position as only a Messenger of Allah, born naturally etc. Those who followed Jesus were given the Quran as a criterion to judge right from wrong and should reject the kafir ideologies that dominate our beliefs. Unfortunately, man is a peculiar animal that wants to distort the clear teachings of Allah and this has resulted in a fragmented “Ummah” and Bukharians instead of Muslims. The Quran warns us repeatedly not to change the Divine Revelation into manmade fairy tales but instead of reading and understanding the Quran we have other books which we have made equal to it. “Other gods” are not only idols, they include anything you make equal to Allah in terms of beliefs and practices He has not authorised.
4:115 One who opposes the Messenger, dissents and treads contrary to the way of the believers, after the Guidance has been made plain to him, We shall let him continue in his chosen direction, and expose him to Hell, a miserable destination.
4:116 God will not forgive Shirk (choosing ‘authorities’ besides Him), though He may forgive other transgressions according to His Law of forgiveness. Whoever commits Shirk, has strayed far, far away.
[4:48. Associating idols or human ‘authorities with God in matters of obedience, subservience, worship and Law-giving, is choosing parallel authorities (114:2-3). This is a folly that downgrades human ‘self’ to the extent that it bars it from rising to the higher levels of self-actualization (9:113). And the ‘self’ then faces an Insurmountable Barrier to evolution in both lives. 22:51, 79:39]
