Dear brother, I did not declare circumcision to be compulsory, haram or hala, please see my posts. What I stated is as follows:
1. To declare something Halal/Haram rests solely with God as per Quran. No one has the authority to declare otherwise.
2. It is a Quranic command to follow the “Creed of Ibrahim.” Those who do circumcision considering it to be part of the creed of Ibrahim, I can understand as to why they are doing so.
3. Those who are against this practice citing Quran, their case is much weaker.
When you write, “Chop a bit off if you want, but Allah and His Messenger do not authorise this,” I am asking you, where is the prohibition not to do it? As a general rule, all is permissible except what is specifically prohibited or at least can be derived in some way to be so. This old practice was in vogue at the time of the revelation of Quran, God could have prohibited it, He did not. Case closed.
