God did not tell Abraham not to worship or serve the gods of his father or their ancestors because they were blind followers of religion.
Abraham came to that conclusion on his own by sheer logic and reason.
Likewise, the descendants of Abraham followed his tradition because the God of Abraham was Designer and Creator of the universe, Who had all Godlike attributes of God.
Therefore, to state that the “millat of Ibrahim” prevents us from following all tradition, good and bad, true and false, is not true.
Hence, like the “millat of Ibrahim” selects Truth from Falsehood in traditions, it superimposes all true knowledge of science, religion, culture, politics, etc, one top of the other without creating any boundaries within and between them that makes them separate and exclusive.
The Prophet Muhammad (s) was 40 years old when the Qur’an was revealed to him. By then he was well informed person through his business ventures and social activities. He met people of different religions, cultures, places, etc.
In addition, all the people he lived with in the Arabian Peninsula were the descendants of Abraham in the form of pagan Arabs, Jews and Christians. They were no strangers to the “millat of Ibrahim”. Their only problem was that they were following it in a very distorted form.
Hence, to state that the Prophet (s) had no idea what was written in the Torah and the New Testament of the Bible and what was hajj, saum, salaat, etc, and God chose him to be their Prophet is absolutely illogical. Nothing was said to the Prophet (s) that was not said to the Prophets that came before him.
The producers of the video have no knowledge of the “millat of Ibrahim” and the Qur’an on salaat. They are just guessing.
