Muslim Political Prisoners in USA
The Agony of our Ummah. The best are treated as if they are the Worst.
by Kaukab Siddique, PhD

Sis. Ayesha and Br. Ali Randall have done a great job of highlighting the identities of Muslim political prisoners in the American gulag.
Once Muslims are sentenced, they disappear from existence in the Muslim community.
Nadrat Siddique recently noted via Sis. Ayesha that Tarq elHassan has died in prison. This Sudanese prisoner was sentenced with flimsy or no evidence and died after 22 years in prison, The US media simply ignored him.
If a Sudanese had died in any other country's prison, the media would have been screaming "racism."
Before that Dr. Omar Abdel Rahman died in prison. He was an opponent of the tyrant Hosni Mubarak of Egypt. He was blind. Imagine a top notch Islamic scholar being sentenced to life in prison on the word of a Zionist Jewish judge Michael Mukasey and a Muslim traitor Siraj Wahhaj hiding his hypocrisy behind a big beard [the darling of regime connected groups like ISNA and ICNA].
Imagine the horror of the death of this great scholar of Islam who spoke no English and whose captors spoke no Arabic. A slow, lonely death which he faced with uncompromising faith in the Creator.

Then you have Imam Jamil al-Amin, top imam of America particularly the African American community. His health has been destroyed and he has been victimized through endless solitary confinement. His faith in Allah and his love of the Sunnah has few equals, the Malcolm X of our times; hence he has been moved to Arizona, keeping him as far away as possible from his family, his community and his support base.

Most bizarre is the life imprisonment given to Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, A highly educated woman who has never harmed anyone in the slightest was accused of terrorism on the unsupported word of an American soldier. The American system insists on cavity searches of prisoners, a form of rape, so she does not accdept visitors even though there are hardly any. The Pakistani regime too has played a dastardly role against Aafia in cahoots with the US regime.

Think of Masoud Khan. What did he do? He opposed the Indian occupation of Kashmir in a symbolic way. He has never harmed ayone in his life. An informant testified against him and he was given life in prison. Appeals to Obama, who was pardoning hardened criiminals, failed.

Look at Tarek el-Mehenna. Did he do anything against the power structure? Not in the least. If he were a non-Muslim he would be considered a coscientious objector.

Look at Shifa Sadequee who went to his home in Bangladesh to get married.
Even the Supreme Court of Bangladesh ruled that Shifa had not committed any crime. Yet the US keeps him in prison.

Then there is Ziyad Yaghi. He too went home to Palestine to get married and that was proclaimed by American "justice" as a code for terrorism.

I could go on.
I urge the US govdernment to release all Muslim political prisoners. Painting them as "terrorists" has fooled nobody. Their families are suffering.
I urge the Muslims of America to STAND UNITED for the freedom of all political prisoners. You don't have to agree with their politics. As Muslims they are an indivisable part of the Muslim ummah.

An Invitation to Think from Dr. Wilmer Leon
The Reality behind the Myths Perpetuated by White Supremacists from Columbus to Charlottesville
By

Dr. Wilmer J. Leon, III

“Time catches up with kingdoms and crushes them, gets it teeth into doctrines and rends them; time reveals the foundations on which any kingdom rests, and eats at those foundations, and it destroys doctrines by proving them to be untrue.” James Baldwin The Fire Next Time

America, the international global hegemon, the empire - finds itself conflicted. At the crux of this conflict is the fact that for as noble as its founding pretexts are, “…that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights…” the “grand experiment” of American or Jeffersonian democracy was actually founded on the myth of racism/White Supremacy. Americans, both White and Black have been indoctrinated to believe in the false social construct of race and the false narratives that White’s – Europeans and European Americans are superior to all others in the world, Manifest Destiny and American Exceptionalism.

So, what we are seeing today play itself out with the Columbus myth, Trump, Charlottesville, DACA and the Dreamers, the Muslim ban and the NFL fiasco, etc. is America being forced to face up to the conflict between its founding principles and its racist reality. Time is catching up to these doctrines and proving them to be untrue.

The late great Dr. Francis Cress Welsing defined racism/White Supremacy as, “The local and global power system structured and maintained by persons who classify themselves as White, whether consciously or subconsciously determined. This system consists of patterns of perception, logic, symbol formation, thought, speech, action and emotional response, as conducted simultaneously in all areas of activity (economics, education, law, etc.).”

I will use 2 examples to support the position that the grand experiment of American or Jeffersonian democracy was founded on the myth of racism/White Supremacy.

1) The Virginia Slave Code Act I 1669, “Be it enacted…if any slave resist his master…and by the extremity of the correction should chance to die, that his death shall not be acompted felony, but the master…be acquit from molestation, since it cannot be presumed that prepense malice…should induce any man to destroy his own estate.” This is the first example that I found where we were relegated to property or what Amiri Baraka called “thingness”.

2) 13th Amendment to the Constitution - Section 1. “Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.” This led to the implementation of the convict leasing system as a replacement for slavery. This is brilliantly documented by Douglas Blackmon in his book Slavery By Another Name.

October 9th is the day that Americans traditionally celebrate as Columbus Day. According to Steve Kurtz, from Fox News.com, “Columbus Day… is a nationally recognized holiday...It is true that the conquest of the Americas by Europeans, which starts with Columbus, was very ugly, and involved a lot of violence. But that, for better or worse, is how history worked pretty much everywhere for thousands of years. (Though it should be noted a large portion of the deaths of Native Americans was due to disease, not violence--an inevitable consequence of Old World illness in New World soil…) …The point is not to excuse the worst that happened, but to understand it. And to see that it is not the essence of Columbus, but rather part of the times. With all that, there are reasons to celebrate Columbus Day.”

Now, if that’s not Eurocentricnonsense I don’t know what is. According to the LA Times, “Columbus’ landfall ushered in one of the greatest injustices in human history: the wholesale transfer of wealth and lands from native peoples to Europeans; the unprecedented depopulation of vast swaths of the Americas as European diseases reduced native populations by 90%...” From the Eurocentric perspective violent history is celebrated, the death, destruction, rape, slavery and other atrocities committed by Columbus are ignored and he is deified because history is written from the perspective of the victor. That’s why it’s called “his-story”.

This racist logic, this White Supremacist narrative that is clearly articulated in Kurtz’s rational for honoring Columbus is the same narrative used by Sons and Daughters of the Confederacy, neo-Confederates and neo-Nazi’s supporting the terrorist statutes from the Civil War as paragons of virtue. In this instance it is not that the South won the Civil War. Their racism compels them to protect their whiteness, history and heritage. Their narrative tells us that the statues are supposed to help us understand context and the dynamics of what was happening at the time from their perspective. But, like the Columbus lie, the story is told from the perspective of the oppressor, not the oppressed. They simply want to maintain some semblance of the myth of White Supremacy.

One very simple question, how could Columbus “discover” something when the Arawak people were already there? They are some of the indigenous peoples of the West Indies that Columbus first encountered not “discovered”. That “discovery” lie is the blindness that attends arrogance. That’s the ignorance born out of the false narrative of white-Eurocentric supremacy. I discovered you! Columbus was late, real late, centuries late to the party.

Now to support this ignorance, Kurtz writes, “While there is only limited knowledge of what pre-Columbus America was like...” Really? Try telling Dr. Ivan Van Sertima, author of They Came Before Columbus that his lifetime of work on Olmec civilization in the Americas is limited knowledge. Try telling Dr. Ben, John Henrick Clark, Chancellor Williams and the host of other Black scholars on this history that their life’s work and research is limited knowledge. Kurtz is like Columbus – just because he refuses to recognize it, it must be “limited knowledge” and research.

Kurtz wrote, “While there is plenty to criticize about Columbus…I think this movement (Indigenous People’s Day) is missing the point…History, in fact, is the story of conquest. We may not like it, but it’s our shared heritage.” No sir, that’s the Eurocentric historical perspective…not all historical perspectives begin and end with, we came, we saw, we kicked your butt. That’s the basis of the same lie being told by those who want to fly the Stars and Bars and commemorate the Confederate Generals. They continuously tell us “it’s our shared heritage… The point is not to excuse the worst that happened, but to understand it.” Here’s the reality, those neo-Confederates who want to “celebrate their heritage” and “commemorate their ancestors” are celebrating treason and commemorating racists and traitors. Where’s the honor in that?

Most of the post-Civil War statues that were erected in Virginia and Louisiana and other Southern States were not erected to commemorate Confederate Generals. Most of the statues in question were erected as acts of intimidation to terrorize African Americans and show unified opposition to the movement towards civil rights; not to honor dead “heroes”. In fact, Robert E. Lee opposed Confederate memorials. He wrote in 1869, “I think it wiser…not to keep open the sores of war but to follow the examples of those nations who endeavored to obliterate the marks of civil strife, to commit to oblivion the feelings engendered.” Lee eventually swore allegiance to the Union and publicly decried southern separatism, whether militant or symbolic. These neo-confederates want to honor a man who did not want to be honored.

So, what we see with the narrative of the Charlottesville race riot and Trump saying that there were good people on both sides is as Dr. Welsing clearly articulated. It is a narrative developed through and supported by patterns of perception, logic (The Lost Cause for example), symbol formation (The flying of the Stars and Bars and these statutes), thought, speech, action (glorifying Columbus w/ a holiday) and emotional response (the Charlottesville riot). It is a White Supremacist narrative that goes all the way back to the Columbus myth and a last-ditch effort by those in 2017 like Steve Kurtz who desperately try to defend the indefensible.

PAKISTAN
.Very large gathering in Mansehra.

.Finality of Prophethood foundation of Pakistan, now under attack by pro-West Rulers.

by Ameer al-Azeem & Qaiser Sharif

LAHORE, Oct. 14; Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that the abolition of the Khatm e Nabuwwat oath from the electoral law was not a clerical mistake, it was a well thought out conspiracy but the rulers were trying to hide those responsible for the move.

Addressing a big public meeting at Mansehra on Saturday, he said that the rulers were biased towards Islam and they were more dangerous than the US or India. He said that the ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had been working on the agenda to make the country’s constitution controversial and had been raising the slogan of liberalism and secularism and trying to undermine the country’s ideology. He said that Nawaz Sharif came to power many a time but he was never faithful to the country or the nation.

The JI chief demanded that Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah should be relieved of his present portfolio for terming the Qadyanis as his brothers as people like him could not be loyal to the country.

He said that the British had left the country seventy years ago but the English law was still in force in the country. He said the JI wanted the country to be ruled by the law of the holy Quran and the Sunnah.

He said it was unfortunate that the people who handed over Dr Aafia Siddiqui to the US by selling off the national honour were still sitting in the corridors of power. He said that even Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan

Abbasi had done nothing for Dr Aafia’s release. He said that the masses would have to rise against these people and support the JI .

The NFL Owners Suggest Ways for Getting Tough on National Anthem Kneelers!

by Sis. Aisha [Jamaat al-Muslimeen]

New York City - Although America prides itself on the existence of the First Amendment, which protects freedom of speech, that protection is not extended to everyone nor to certain types of protests. Black NFL players have been kneeling during the National Anthem in protest of the murder of civilians of African-descent by rogue cops plus, the fact that prosecutors just can't seem to get a conviction in any of these cases. Even when such crimes are caught on video, no convictions!

My issue with these protests is that they are meant to draw attention. These protests are not for getting any action taken to change policy. However, listen to the White hosts on sports radio and you would think these protesting NFL players are committing a crime! These sports radio show hosts are only concerned about people honoring their kuffar flag and not the reasons behind these players kneeling. There is a serious disconnection between the oppressor and the oppressed here.

Last week, the Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones, stated that he would penalize players for kneeling. There was also other talk of owners suggesting that teams with kneeling players should forfeit the game and take the loss. That would be an attack on the kneeling players' first amendment rights but, it would be interesting to see how they would respond to such a penalty.

ESPN Anchor, Jemele Hill, who is also of African-descent, stated that if Jerry Jones starts penalizing his players then, people should boycott his advertisers. Whoa! That took backbone for her to say because she was encouraging an economic boycott, which is empowering.

We Muslims should be able to relate because of our boycott of Zionist businesses supporting Israel: Starbucks, Coca Cola, etc..

But, if we boycott the Cowboys endorsers and the Cowboys also play Monday Night Football games on ESPN then, wouldn't that boycott also affect ESPN's bottom line? YES, which is why Jemele Hill has been suspended by ESPN for two whole weeks!

[Note: This is not the first time Jemele Hill has defended Black people against her White colleagues or bosses at ESPN. However, she needs to get a clue and start her own channel Online, somewhere. She has the followers to do that and succeed!]

Just as with major league sports and the so-called mainstream media, these entities are not going to respect people of African-descent and allow them to be themselves and worship their God. They are nothing more than a tool for growing their wealth.

With regard to sports, yes, these athletes are making millions of dollars but, the financial growth of these sports franchises have grown exponentially! These team owners, whether they are in the MLB, NBA, or NFL, are billionaires. It is a business, not a charity. These team owners get more from the players than the players do from the owners.

Allah says throughout the Holy Qur'an that we will be tested. When the oppressors push and we push back they will push back harder. They also play dirty. Some critics of the kneelers have said that these guys have signed a contract and they are obligated to do whatever their employer requires of them to get paid, based on what's in that contract. True.

But, sometimes, we become enlightened a little later in life and must decide if dealing with the devil is something we want to continue to do. Eventually, we may need to be prepared to strike out on our own, once we have realized that we never really needed these oppressive bosses in the first place. Insha'allah.

Marawi
Muslim Women beat back Latest Army attack. Regime preparing Final Assault on the Fighters. Almost 5 months of battle.

October 16 [Filipino time: Its still Oct. 15 in the US.]

The Duterte regime had promised that the fighters in Marawi would be eliminated on October 15. However when the military attacked the fighters from the unguarded flank, Muslim women fired back at the troops and forced the troops to retreat. At least 20 of the soldiers were shot.

It appears that the fighting is going from house to house and almost of the entire city has been destroyed in air strikes by the regime.

In the small mujahedeen group remaining in Marawi are the commanders of the fighters, Omar Khayam Maute and Isnilon Hapilon, the overall commander of the Islamic State fighters in the Philippines.

[Filipino researchers say that even if all the fighters are killed, these 5 months of fighting have planted the seeds of the Islamic State in the Philippines. Muslims in Malaysia and Indonesia are showing support for ISIS but yet are unable to join the fighting.]

Blizzard of Russian Bombs. ISIS withdraws from Mayadeine. After US bombing, Raqqa to be evacuated.

Resounding clashes around Damascus and Deraa. IS holds al-Qaryatayn. Heavy fighting around al-Sukhnah

October 9 to 15.

A powerful drive by Russian troops backed by Iranians, Hizb and Shia militias forced ISIS to withdraw from al-Mayadeine. The civilian population already had left the city for the desert on realization that both Russia and US were targeting them.. The Russian advance to Mayadein was covered by around the clock bombing by the Russian air force.

The city of Deir ez Zor is in control of IS but is being surrounded by regime troops. Kurdish Communists led by the US are also moving rapidly towards Deir ez Zor from the north east.

In the north east, US and its coalition is still bombing al-Raqqa. A deal is underway which would allow civilians and local fighters to be allowed to leave the city without being attacked. The fighters from other Muslim countries looks like will be killed.

In eastern Homs province IS is holding on to the city of al-Qaryatayn while clashes between IS and regime troops continue in the desert around al-Sukhnah.

The Assad regime is shelling with artillery and shooting ground to ground missiles into the suburbs of Damascus held by Rahman Corp in the Jobar area, Hajr al-Aswad held by IS and other suburbs held by Jaysh al-Islam.

Assad and the Russians are also bombing parts of Idlib province which is held at Tahrir al Sham [formerly al-Nusra and al-Qaida].

Turkish invasion has stopped as the Turks are turning from fighting Tahrir al-Sham to the Kurdish Communists, YPG, in Afrin.

Regime troops [Hizb etc] advancing towards al-Raqqa are clashing with Ahrar al-Sham in north east of Hama province.

British White female convert to Islam, Sally Jones, has been killed in a US air strike. She was instrumental in getting women to convert to Islam and to join her in ISIS territory in Syria.

The British are concerned that her 12 year old son, Jojo, might have also been killed in the air strike, which would be a violation of the law.

New fighting has broken out between regime troops and FSA in and around Deraa which is mostly in the control of FSA.
