First, the ritual prayer was well known, understood, and done in those communities, including Jews, Christians, and the people of our honorable messenger. Arabic speaking Christians and Jews used the same word “salat” for their prayer as well. Thus, “Salat=prayer, dua, supplication, etc.” was well-known and understood by them.
Second, is there a written record worthy of your consideration you are asking for? Even written records called “Lexicons” are not worthy of any respect if these clash with your preconceived notions.
