It is important for all to read the below translation so that we may be able to analyze, dissect and put it in proper context.
Translation of 2:221
Do not marry unbelieving women, until they believe. A slave woman who believes is better than unbelieving woman. Even though she allure you. Nor marry your girls to unbelievers until they believe.
A man slave is better than an unbeliever, even though you may be impressed by him.
Unbelievers do beckon you to the Fire. But Allah invites you to Gardens of Grace and Forgiveness, and makes His signs clear to mankind so that they may receive admonition.
Understanding the above. I speak for myself. And I will explain from my side...............it is for you to evaluate accordingly.
1) This verse is in advisory mode. It is not a MUST TO FOLLOW. It is not a sin if you marry among Pagan unbelievers. But Allah warns you that you can suffer if this association is solemnized.
2) You must study "unbelieving man or woman" Here they are referring to "pagan worshipers." They are not referring to People of the Book, namely Jews or Christians. They believe in One God, but not Pagan Worshipers. The customs of Pagan Worshipers were detrimental to their own destruction and self-annihilation. They had a custom of giving cups of blood to the Fire God in Pagan Arabia. There were also other customs that I will not refer here.
Conclusion: Today, in the 21st century, there are also fringes of Pagan worshipers in San Francisco. There are Satan worshipers where they have group sex and other blood sharing rituals. It is really very gruesome. The above verse is not referring to very good believers in God from Christians and Jews.
