Can anyone help clarify a matter?
Dawood bhai has the premise that the actions of the namaz ritual were given to the Messenger via first contact revelation, which he then passed on to his followers so there was no need to put these in the Quran. Follow the creed of Abraham is devoid of the rituals in the Quran and this is the same extra Quran knowledge of praying etc.
Is there a verse in the Quran that says 'do prayers as you see the Messenger doing' or similar words that ask us to follow the messenger as he performs a prayer.
Note- establishing salat is not the same as performing salat according to the 'sunnah', way, of the Messenger and there must be clear wording that a physical act is to be performed according to the way the Messenger does/did it.
I am not trying to nail anyone down, but I do not want a verse open to interpretation or 'it can be understood by Dawood and no one else in history' that it says this because he knows what went on in unrecorded events.
45:18 And finally, We appointed you (O Messenger) to establish clear commandments about all matters. So you shall follow this way, and not follow the whims of those who do not know (the truth).
[42:13. Shari’ah = The way to a watering place = A flowing stream of pure water = Clear commandments. The flowing stream indicates that the commandments are not stagnant. While the basics remain unchanged, minor details will be flexible with changing times and needs
