LoL my brother, now you are on to a different topic, shooting left, shooting right, no focus. Your entire effort is to prove that Salat is not ritual prayer. You and your likes are attempting IMPOSSIBLE.
You wrote: “Their salat was nothing but whistling and clapping, that is mindless rituals, it means their obedience/following Allah was nothing, and they only had ridicule:”
They were pagans, mushriks, no divine book with them through which they could remember God. God did not say, theirs is not Salat, rather He said their Salat is composed of meaningless rituals of clapping and whistling, which cannot bring about remembering of God because God’s revelations are missing from it. Do Muslims do clapping and whistling in their Salat or they read the verses of Quran? You are confused beyond belief.
This however establishes the fact prophet Muhammad was aware of Salat done by pagans.
You wrote: “Are we to get ‘blessings’ by doing namaz 5times a day or by ‘remembering’ Allah by upholding His commands? Please also note that Allah does not change a people unless they change themselves and I cannot find a verse in the Quran that says this involves praying 5 times a day.”
Same old nonsensical questions, bringing your own desires to read “what should be the purpose of the salat” instead of “What is the purpose of the Salat.” God says, purpose of Salat is His remembrance via Quran for Muslims. Quran is read in Salat. Upholding the commands is the second phase, which is Taqwa in Quran. Period.
Since you have not understood the above purpose of the Salat, you cannot fathom how Salat was the mechanism to transform both prophets and people who followed them. Salat was the chief means of remembrance of God, which changed their inner selves (this is what change themselves mean), their psyche. This inner change eventually impacted their words and actions (Taqwa), transforming the community.
Rest all is irrelevant stuff.
