Dear brother rest assured I have no problem with anyone or the way you and anyone do their things. I am just responding to your broad unwarranted generalities related to certain terms particularly Salat and Sujood in the Quran. For me, Quran has a beautiful and wonderful way for us to remember God, His attributes, His glory and majesty, His commands, etc. This remembrance is brought about through God’s mandated Salat. Sujood is one of the major elements of Salat, embodying the highest physical manifestation of full and complete submission to God in response to the recitation of His verses. Yes, this is a ritual but not mindless. Rituals have no mind to be mindless by themselves, rather the practitioners performing these rituals could possibly be mindless.
The way I see and understand it, your entire efforts are geared toward disproving physical Salat as mentioned in Quran. There are too many verses of the Quran which don’t leave any doubt that your efforts will remain fruitless. My plea to you is rather devote your energies to bring meaning and purpose to this physical salat which, at the hands of so called Muslims, has become a mere ritual devoid of any significance. By doing so, you will have the entire Quran at your back. This will be a tremendous service to God as well as to fellow Muslims who look up to you for guidance.
