It is well known that Israelite and Ishmaelite are progeny of Abraham as well as Hebrew and Arabic are sister Semitic languages. As a result, the commonality in some/many words would not be surprising. However, on the ground of literal similarity, claiming that one party has taken some "cultural norms" of the other is not right. For this, one has to produce credible evidence/argument. This is very essential in case of Israelite and Ishmaelite. Because the former despised the latter (((according to the Bible, as a people descended from a slave woman Hagar, without a divine book / knowledge / manners))) for centuries while the latter had their own prides.
