Dr B.R. Ambedkar was the most influential leader of the more than 70 million suffering DALITS (Untouchables) in India in the 1940s.
Quaid e-Azam M.A.J. suggested to him to consider all Dalits embracing Islam since it does away with the caste system and all people are equal in the sight of God. M.K.Gandhi, who hated the untouchables, however, ran to Dr Ambedkar and said to him that even Muslims are divided into many sects and ethnic affiliations. Unfortunately, Dr Ambedkar listened to him and their fate remains unchanged from 1940 to now.
