My Dear Mu'min Brother,
I plan to make some brief notes about the great, though fallible, Ghulam Ahmad Parwez Saheb starting today. I think, the man has done some monumental and immortal services to humanity - No "Hero Worship" as pointed out by Thomas Carlyle :-)
Allama G.A. Parwez (1903-1985) is proving to be the most influential Islamic scholar for the New Millennium. Here is how.
Fortunately, his lectures on the entire Qur'an have been saved (audio tapes and cassettes since 1968, VCR since 1982, recently moving on to CDs DVDs etc). Today they are freely available in and outside Pakistan. Many of his original works, books have been translated into English by the Organization in Lahore.
In addition, Allama's Urdu lectures have been written word for word from the audio cassettes, and printed on thousands of pages. The process is probably near completion at this time. Incredible!
Idara Toluislam, Lahore was founded by Allama Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam in 1938. I think the Toluisalm Trust began somewhere in the 1950s.
Their greatest service is the preservation, maintenance, reproduction and sales of Allama's works in all formats including the most beautiful books.
The current Toluislam officials unfortunately want their sympathizers to walk exactly on the foot prints of Allama G.A.P. who was, of course, a fallible human being.
