I wondered at the title of the video "A women loses the debate with a muslim women"--implicitly saying that the video poster on Youtube does not consider the unveiled woman as a "Muslim".
I think buqa and niqaab is not mandated by the Qur'an but the French government has no right to legislate to ban it because it violates a basic human right. If it is proven that women don the burqa on the basis of their free choice--and not being forced to do this, then, the French government would do well leaving the “Muslim” women alone. Unfortunately, there are lots and lots of women (contrary to what the "Muslim" woman said in the video) who ARE FORCED to wear burga even if they do not want to. In that regard, I think there should be some legislation to stop the practice, but banning burqa just because it is "inconsistent" with the Western values makes no sense to me. In my view, this is a Talibani approach coming from the French.
