Charlie Chaplain made this movie as a direct result of the horrific conflict going on in Europe when they should have learnt their lesson following the First World War. It was the means of mass communication in his day which he pulled off brilliantly. Any speech on the stupidity of war and the morons who start them, Hitler, Bush, Sadam etc. deserves more than just a snide remark like “It's not a speech---it's a scene from a movie!” It was spoken to make us realise what we are doing to our fellow man and if you left this idea in the movie theatre or on the computer when you turned it off then you have sadly missed something. It is not belittling any other great speech, real or fictitious, which move us [should move us].

The “Quran”, just another book?
