Dear brother Yameen,

I would have appreciated if you had mentioned another person's translation before.

As brother Shahid Ali Khan of Hyderabad has rightly said below that it is not a Quranic verse.

I translated the Arabic words at your request. Muslims read these in their NAMAZ.

JADD = Ancestors = Grandfather.

But the context is very important in every language. Of course, Allah has no ancestors. Therefore looking at the context becomes all the more important. JADD is derived from MJD = Honor = Majesty = Glory. JADDUKA = Your Majesty. MAJEED = Majestic = Glorious.

The following translation by someone is obviously INCORRECT: "Subbhanak Allahumma wa bihamdika wa tabarakasmuka wa taala jadduka wa la ilaha ghayruk [Glory to you, O Allah! And praised be the blessed name of Allah and His forefathers)."

Correct translation: GLORIOUS YOU ARE O' ALLAH! ALL PRAISE BELONGS TO YOU, ALL YOUR NAMES AND ATTRIBUTES ARE BLESSED, SUPREME IS YOUR MAJESTY AND THERE IS NO DEITY OTHER THAN YOU.

Kindly do not test this lifelong student.
