Dear Ourbeacon family,
Being an internist, geriatrician and neurologist educated and trained in the UK & USA, I have compassion for my respected colleague, Asarulislam Syed, M.D. of California.
I have heard and listened to a few English and Urdu speeches by him, loaded with Quranic, literary, linguistic, grammatical and historical errors. He is incandescently beating his own drum. Someone rightly called it a "One Man Show".
But he deserves empathy instead of blatant criticism and ridicule.
Paradoxically, among all physicians, psychiatrists are most prone to commit suicide. I request Dr Syed's family and friends to get him treated for psychosis immediately before tragedy strikes.
With kind regards and best wishes,
Imrana Jalil, MRCP, FRCP, M.D.
