Please accept my apologies for any offence I may have given in my post. “Do not bother” is not a phrase in my thesaurus and I am not an Urdu speaker so when the “Cannon of the Quran” speaks, most of his message fails to get through to me. I am glad that your programme is about changing the minds of the people for that was one message I was trying to convey. History tells us that if we get the start wrong, we will fail and struggle or never succeed in re-establishing ourselves; people do not forget easily [look at the example of the Ahle-e-Quran].

My other concern was about you trying to run before you can walk. Small steps, including the Quranic education one, need to be undertaken at a slow pace in order to win over the people and who will not turn tail the moment some unfortunate incident occurs. If this were to happen, the cannon would have backfired. Education needs people to be re-programmed, take the example of the Jews who had to go through 40years of “wilderness” training before they were capable of establishing a state for themselves.

I also draw your attention to Hamas. They started off as a social, community welfare association who helped people with medical, food and other needs. It was only after many years of such work [for which the Israeli government gave them money because they wanted to reduce the influence of Yasser Arafat’s PLO movement!] that they were able to turn this into a political party; the hard work at the grass roots lead to their eventual political success.

Please also note that your remaining words from your post are all something I and many others would sincerely like to see, but do not lose yourself in achieving that goal. Daring steps can lead to tripping up.

I am a nobody, but think about what I have said about creating a grass roots social movement, fully based on the Quran and REPEATEDLY REMINDED to the people what this Book says, for it is only by telling the people what the Quran says that they will be able to stand up against those who oppose its implementation. They have been firing blanks for too long and very few have understood this, so let JPP use the sword of intellect to overcome the ignorance [I have to stop now for I am beginning to sound like you now! LOL]
