50,000,000,000 [fiftyt million] dead in two world wars can hardly be heralded as a period of relative peace. Yes, religion did bring burning at the stake, torture, mass murder, but all systems that rely on man as the ultimate source of right and wrong will forever remain in conflict. Relative peace can only come about when we accept a Higher authority and this will bring a balance to our lives.
It is my humble opinion that once you have a small but significant number of individuals that submit to the teachings of the Quran [as was the case with the early Muslims who were always in a minority] things will change. Unfortunately, not enough people in Pakistan or elsewhere have a pure Quranic education, but things are changing and, however long it takes, it will happen.

Regarding Jannat Party Pakistan, the party was founded in the USA and once the masses hear this they will turn away. It will be an uphill struggle and my question is why try to take over the TOP when the bottom, the heart and soul of the country, needs reforming? If you cannot educate the people about right and wrong [suicide bombing, apostate murder, acid attacks on women etc] then how the hell are you going to make any change?

The Messenger spent years arguing with those around him; hard work at the grass roots level before he made an impact, is his example not enough to show that any reform in any country is going to take time. People are not interested in corruption, that is why they have not bothered with Imran Khan, [another perceived as ‘foreign’, Jemima!!!] so why does JPP think it can take over the asylum that is Pakistan without putting the years of hard work into the reforming the inpatients, the people?

Regarding some of the Quran only followers and their equally ridiculous arguments, what are they fighting about? A number 19, following Abraham’s religion, Mecca or Petra, Kaaba not there, this word means this, the root is sht, ALL THINGS WITHOUT ANY MEANING IN THE GREAT SCHEME OF THINGS! Our brother Edhi has probably never read a verse of the Quran in his native tongue, yet he bears all the hallmarks of a true submitter, whereas some of the “Quran only” brigade are getting calculators out and finding how many ways they can make a number appear! N2I and some Quran only, no difference between these ajami groups!

And my final diatribe on this subject; the Quran explains in very clear terms that we should only follow its teachings, the SUNNAH AND HADITH OF ALLAH, and anyone doing otherwise [Ghamdi or Edip] is bound to fail, so let that be a lesson to you all.
